The twinkle in his eyes
The way he looks at me.No way to describe
Just what he does to me.I want him so bad
But he'll never know.I know that it's sad,
The emotions that I stow. There's nothing I can do
When I see him smile like that. Not quite ready to say, "I love you."
When I'm not the one his smile's directed at.I see the way he looks at her
And that makes it clearThat she makes him feel fuller
Than I could ever wish to adhere.I can't tell him how I feel
For he is in love with this girl. What he has with her is genuine, and real.
Leaving me with nothing left to unfurl.~a poem by Elizabeth Kay on loving someone who's already in love with another~
