The cool night air surrounds the Mossad outpost. The trees of the woods rustle as the

light wind plays with their leaves. The noise of the waves lapping on the rocks deep below the

camp permeates the air. It is 0200 and the team is waking from their brief slumber.

I was having a good dream, those rarely happened anymore. The anxiety of my life made

me nervous and jittery, definitely a light sleeper. My body must have known that a lot was about

to be asked of it. The dream was taking place back in Russia, I was probably nine and I had just

that year begun to show interest in my dad's work and everything he knew about space. We

were lying in the hammock in our backyard, it was early summer and the sky was clear. All of

the constellations were bright that night. We just rocked there in the chilly night air and he told

me the names and stories of all of them. It was beautiful, and I was happy.

Then the rocking got a little harder and I woke up. Fredrick was beside me rocking my

shoulders to wake me up.

I asked as I rubbed my eyes, "Why are you the one to always mess up my good dreams?"

He had no idea what I was talking about.

He kept at me "Come on Mika, you need to start the flight prep in twenty minutes, it‟s

time to go get Tannin."

I stood and stretched, "I‟m good, go do your thing. I'll see you at the plane." Then I got

dressed in the green pilot jumpsuit they gave me and took one last pause before I headed out the

door, "Mom, Dad, if you are out there today, we could use your help. Anything you can do for

us to help save Tannin today is the day. I'm sure you know that if you have been watching,

thanks, love you" and I walked out to my plane.

The team was all there waiting for me, dressed in commando black and outfitted with

night vision goggles and weapons. We looked like a bunch of bad asses, just the right people

needed to save my brother. Julio was reviewing the tactics one final time to make sure everyone

knew their job and responsibilities.

He looked at me as I walked up, "Mika, once you get the flight prep completed, let's talk

one more time about getting us in and landing in the compound. We only have one shot."

I nodded to him in acknowledgement and then walked around the plane to check it out.

Everything was as it should be on the operational check of the plane. This baby would get the

job done. After a quick recap with Julio, the time was here to begin. I settled into the cockpit.

Josef was in the seat behind me. All of the operatives and Fredrick took their seats in the cargo

bay. We were as ready as we would ever be. I looked to the sky again and said a silent prayer.

Then I began the take off sequence, the engines rumbled to life and I eased the plane

straight up. Once we cleared the tree line, we switched from vertical to horizontal and sped out
