Anatoly slowly recovered and regained his composure. The large rounds put a beating on

his body, but he suffered no major damage thanks again to his new reengineered cellular

structure. Once up, he ran over to the last aircraft and saw Maximillian and Forty-Four rolling

on the ground.

"What are the two of you doing, this place is a wreck. Get up and fly us out of here."

Max was barely able to sit, he looked up at Toly, "Help me up boy, they stole my crystals

and the serum. Get Forty-four to the plane so he can catch them."

Toly helped the KGB operative to the cockpit.

Forty-four flipped switches and fired up the engines.

Max and Toly climbed into the rear and they closed the hatch. "Forty-four, use the

tracking signal to find them and shoot them out of the sky, I want my crystals back."

Maximillian commanded over the radio to his pilot.

Forty-Four had done his job, Max was safe, "Yes sir, we will be on them shortly." The

intensely black stealth jet screamed vertically toward the sky.

Jindal and the NSA team were methodically overtaking the security guards. With

precision tactics, the NSA eliminated the guards one by one. Vladimir and Sonya watched as the

first plane left, then the second shortly after it and finally a third. Jindal radioed that the last

guard was down and the courtyard secure. The NSA team regrouped in the middle of the

courtyard and surveyed the damage.

Hooper looked at his team, "Everyone did good, we were too late this time. But we

certainly put a hurting on the KGB. Grab what you can and let's move out. I am sure this place

will be crawling with Russian Police and Intelligence Bureau people soon."

Jindal paused at a body on the ground, "Boss, this one is one of ours, NSA for sure."

Hooper replied to him, "Is he still alive? He looks really bad."

Jindal checked the pulse and replied, "It is faint but he is alive."

Hooper paused and thought for a minute, then gave the orders, "We take him with us, be

quick and stabilize him the best we can, we need to evac."

Then once Julio was transportable, Hooper led the team back out into the woods to make

their way a few miles to the extraction rendezvous.

Olivia called to me over her headset, "Mika, we can catch up with your brothers soon, we

need to turn around and launch every rocket we have at that compound. Those agents helped

us save Tannin and risked their lives for your family. They made the ultimate sacrifice for their

cause. We need to finish their mission."

Ugh...she was right. The least I could do for our fallen team members was blowing

those buildings to smithereens. "You make a great point Olivia, and we won't get another

chance like this one."
