Now the lights at the temple dimmed again, waving in tones of dark blue, purple and green like a deep sea, so this could be none other than Black Water Sinking Boats He Xuan, as The Dragon Princess, living deep in a cave in an island in the Eastern Sea, guarding her father's treasure. His bone dragons appeared floating from both sides of the stage, circling in the air and leaving the audience in a daze.

His makeup was dark and beautiful, his dress black and covered in shimmering micro black pearls, while his headdress had divine wishing pearls, dragon pearls, serpent pearls, mussel pearls, sea-crane pearls, snail pearls and oyster pearls. Little pearls floated in the air around him while he slowly made his pageantry across the main stage, truly impressive.

Quan Yzhen, the next one, relying on his precise and skilful dance moves, chose to be Rose of Evening, the dancer from The Prince of the Dragon Cave. Dressed in colourful flowery garments, fluttering and dropping countless little flowers from their folds; his spiritual power making them whirl and float about the whole temple while the crowd dazedly reached out for them.

A thick fog filled the stage; it was General Ke Mo, slowly walking in as The Queen of Heaven, a goddess who protects ships from sinking and is fervently worshipped all over port villages. His dress was glassy light blue as calm waters reflecting the sky, floating beautifully, and he held a lantern, guiding ships to a safe haven. The audience cheered on for the benevolent goddess.

The fog dissipated with the following contestant, showing a stunning garden in bloom as a gorgeous tapestry of white peonies. Pei Su walked in, representing the tale of The Flower Nymphs, seductive ladies of the garden of Mr Huang of Chiao-chow; wearing a dress of red camellias, he himself walking light and graceful like a flower, his face sweet and gentle, his long tresses falling down his back.

The whole temple became dark again, and the crowd braced themselves for the last contestant. Xie Lian walked in like a brilliant rising moon, millions of small shimmering lights were lit in the air, as merely reflecting his brightness. He represented The Princess Kwan-Ying, a pure and compassionate princess who refused earthly power and riches and became The Goddess of Mercy.

His dress was of pure pearly white, making his shapes beautiful, with a tiny waist and fluttering sleeves, as if was made of clouds at sunrise. Xie Lian's makeup was alluring; his usual kind and compassionate face as the goddess of mercy herself, with long brows and charming eyes, a princess radiating nobility, his aura blindingly bright. Facing such striking sight, no one in the whole temple could speak, everyone holding their breaths, their words broken.

The lights dimmed and he was gone. It felt like everyone's souls were floating away to a magnificent dream, and after a while the lights went back to as they were before the pageantry started, and the audience recovered their senses, cheering and applauding insanely loud.

Shi Qingxuan returned to the main stage, waving his fan, thanking the esteemed Lords and Ladies, while the contestants returned, one by one, and lined up just behind him. Even without their spiritual energy effects, they still looked amazing, their dresses and makeup truly transforming.

"Now Lords and Ladies, our queens gave us tales for the ages, indeed an unforgettable and legendary evening! Aren't we so very fortunate as to witness such spectacle?"

The crown went mad with noise again. Shi Qingxuan smiled brightly, and continued, "However, there must be only one, The Queen of Shi Qingxuan's Dragrace! So, let's hear our judges' insightful critiques, and then everyone can cast a vote!"
