Is the Punishment Good Enough

Aishwarya's POV 

I stayed in my room mostly to avoid Vikram. Uncle came to my room before going for meeting. He looked so handsome and fierce in uniform.

Aunty said uncle would be coming late and made me eat dinner. Aunty wanted to wait for uncle but I made her eat. She needs to eat in time and take medicines. I had to eat with that devil.

I received message from unknown number

'It's Vikram, I want to talk to you come to terrace'

I ignored. How did he knew my new number? Who cares?

My phone kept beeping with messages, I switched off and slept 

I felt a hand on my mouth, I opened my eyes and tried to shout. 

"It's me Vikram, don't shout" he said removing his hand

"How dare you come into my room? Get out" I shouted

"You didn't reply, I want to talk to you. You think I can't come if you lock the door" he smirked

"Of course you can, you are a criminal" 

"Why are you in my home" he asked

"Why don't you ask your parents?" I said

"They are very kind, you would have begged them that you don't have anyone, got kicked out from home etc etc, doing all drama" he said angrily 

"Yeah I learnt from you and your friends. Why don't you tell them I'm doing drama to harm them?" I said

"Don't you dare to hurt them" he warned

"I don't have to do anything  like you planned for years, all I have to do is just tell them what you did. What do you think will happen if I tell? Your mom had two massive heart attacks. Your dad, the great flawless police officer, just imagine what would happen to his reputation if people come to know what his son did  to an innocent girl?" I asked mocking

He was silent 

"Come on Sagar.... Oops Vikram why are you silent?" I asked

"I will kill you, you are not innocent and your family is criminal family. They deserve this" he said

"Go on, kill me. Don't worry, your dad will be the one to arrest you" i said. Didn't know I could talk like this

He was silent 

"You are not in a position to threaten me, better stay in your limits. Out of respect for your parents I'm staying quiet. That doesn't mean I will stay like this. I'm too shocked to react right now.

You are here, answer my questions and get lost"

"I won't..." 

I didn't let him finish

"As if you have choice, you are in my room. Imagine me shouting" I said

"What do you want" he said

"I didn't know you are this dumb. Isn't it obvious" I asked

"Do you really not know even after meeting my parents?" he asked me seriously 

"I don't lie like you. I have no idea what you are talking" I said

"Don't you know why your mama was in jail for 10 years?" He asked

I felt my ground shaking

"You mean, it's your family..."

"Happy realization, my parents are kind and compassionate. They don't know who you are. They will kick you out if they know" he said in fury

"He went to jail for what he did. He regrets it and it was all misunderstanding. He has no idea, he thought your uncle betrayed him and tried to kill him" I tried to tell the truth

"I can't believe you are still defending him. People don't kill because of misunderstandings. He got punishment, so you think everything is ok?

Our family is destroyed. Mom lost her two brothers. My sister was lost, couldn't find her till now. Mom's health condition is because of that.

Nikhi never knew her dad, he left us. She is my first mama's daughter. He was your mama's best friend, Raghav. He was loyal to your mama all his life. What did your mama do in return? Destroy our family.

Do you think 10 years imprisonment will get us justice? We want your mama to suffer through you. Now he got his real punishment" he spit venom

I couldn't handle the truth, fell on the ground crying 

"Get lost from our lives. Let us live in peace" he said leaving
