You can test me with struggles
I'm not so insecure
To prove my mettle
Against the onslaught of trolls.
You can reject my efforts
I am unfazed
I'll keep going on and on and on
Till I move out of this phase.
You can overlook my capabilities
And, it's okay
I believe in myself enough
To silence the naysayers.
You can erode my confidence
I don't care a damn
I know my worth
To stand against the crowds.
Like a diamond in the rough
My sparkle dulled by coats of coal
I can withstand the pressure
And shine on my own.
