Letting myself go
Is the hardest thing you know
From the pain and the fear
And everything I hold dear.
Letting myself flow
On the road to tomorrow
Is filled with trepidation and doubt
When my whole world is in a cloud.
I can't see straight
But my heart knows how to wait
With determination in my soul
I will reach my goal.
It's going to take time as usual
This is not unusual
I'm used to shit by now
When life goes downtown.
My tears will bear witness
To what I can't confess
The words are in a stranglehold
In the vicissitudes of the world.
I've me for company
The best I can be
Beliefs are cultivated slowly
When you are on a sole journey.
