In the sands of time
A tinkle bell chimes
Awakening us to our destiny
Plodding into our journey.
Wonder what these sands will take us
In the deserts of trespassers
Shifting towards their goals everyday
The sands move across the way.
Into the storms of life
The sands rush headlong
Facing them with a smile
They never stop to sigh.
Under the intensity of the sun
The sands burn
Yet, they protect their people
Hiding beneath them.
Sands teach us what we know
Under the light we must glow
Scrutinisingly painful though the glares
We stand in our own blaze.
Inspire us to be true
As we navigate the blues
Through darkness is our character polished
We get better with every flourish.
