Adversity faced alone
Bound in a cage of stone
With mirrors for company
We confront our enemy.
Fraught with worry over self
Delving deep into a shell
Salvaging what was left
Hope was found intact.
It never left when all did
Keeping our faith through everything
Taught to hold onto the process
Never give up--we are almost there.
