On March 3, 1969, the US Navy established a school for its best pilots, which accounted for 1% of the total. Its purpose is to teach the art of dogfighting, air combat, and to make men and women the best fighter pilots. They succeeded.
Today, the Navy calls it Fighter Weapons School.
