I was Expecting a Normal Life, Guess not (Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid X Reader)

So, This Is the Prideful Dragon Lord, Huh? Sure, Sure.

A/N: Hey. What's up? Back for another chapter? I know I am. 

Y/N: It's nice shopping with Tohru every now and again. "Do we have everything?

Tohru: "Asparagus, watercress, new potatoes!"

Y/N: "Looks like we got just about everything."

Tohru: "Hai! And all the vegetables are in season, too!"

Y/N: "Since we got them for cheaper than planned, we should buy a snack for Kanna." Growing up I could only afford snacks. So it feels nice to buy them as a treat instead of a necessity. 

Tohru: "Nice idea. But what would Kanna like?"

Y/N: "Hmm. That's a good question." 

As they turn the corner they notice a familiar man loitering at a nearby shop.

Kobayashi: "Mr. Fafnir!"

The dragon doesn't turn to look at them. After a few moments, he recognizes Tohru.

Fafnir: "Tohru."

Tohru: "Mr. Fafnir, what are you doing here?"

Fafnir: "Reflecting upon my most recent decision."

Tohru: "Oh? And what would that be?"

Fafnir: "I want to experience life in the human world."

Tohru: "Oh! That is quite the decision."

Y/N notices that they'll be charged a fine if they loiter any longer.

Tohru: "Really, I-"

Y/N: "Um. Sorry to interrupt. Should we talk about this over tea instead? We shouldn't be loitering over here."

Tohru: "Hm?"

Y/N: "I don't want to pay the fine."

So with some regrets, they go back to the apartment. 

Tohru: "We're home!"

Kobayashi: "Welcome back."

As Tohru sets up the tea, Kobayashi talks privately with Y/N.

Kobayashi: "What's he doing here?!"

Y/N: "I don't know. I  invited him here to be nice." Wait, they're dragons. Tohru's already told us that they have exceptional hearing. "Why are we whispering, they can hear us anyway."

Kobayashi: "Ah, right."

Tohru: "I'd like to know what he's doing here, too."

She brings the tea out to Fafnir.

Tohru: "I was surprised to find you standing there. What's going on?"

Fafnir: *He's slow to pick up his cup* "I've decided to live in this world for a while."

Y/N/Kobayashi: "Eh?!"

Tohru: "Really?! To be honest, I can't recommend it strongly. Can you live with humans?"

Fafnir: "If you can do it, then I can do it."

Tohru: "I guess that's true. Then why don't you stay he-"

She looks back to see Kobayashi and Y/N forming Xs with their hands.

Tohru: "Oh. I guess you can't."

Y/N: "Sorry, but we don't have enough room. You share a room with Kanna, and I share a room with Kobayashi." I'm not giving up my room. Plus, I'm pretty sure we'd all be dead if we had him sleeping on the couch.
