Harshad was strolling towards his car with a silly smile playing on his lips. Such an amazing start to a beautiful day. Those few moments spent with Kiara were enough for Harshad to spend a week full of workload. She was the energy that could make him work hard, her smile could motivate him to keep going. He knew there was someone that would hold him in days when holding himself would be impossible.

A smile returned to his face when the memories of last night flashed in his mind. The way she rested her head on his chest, the way she wrapped her arms around him. He could feel her warm breath on his neck. The way she clenched to him each time he attempted to pull some distance between them in her sleep.

Harshad wanted to believe her actions weren't a result of her fear she adored his presence but he was aware of the truth. She wanted him to stay behind because she was scared of being left alone. A sad smile played on his lips as the realization came to the surface.

"What are you doing over here?" Harshad heard a roar of an angry lion. Harshad masked a smile to face his predator.

Rajeev was staring at him with furious orbs, his eyes warning him not to open his mouth or he won't be spared. "I had warned you not to revolve around my daughter."

"Your daughter is my friend and I can't leave her in days of need," Harshad muttered in a polite manner, keeping a smile. "I understand that you had bad experienced with dad's firm but that doesn't make me or my dad a cruel human." Harshad attempted to provide justification for the misunderstanding taken place years back.

"You have no idea what your dad..."

"Dad was providing news that was informed to him."

"Doesn't your firm have any responsibility to check about the truth of the news before telecasting it?" Rajeev growled taking a dangerous step toward Harshad.

"What if I say, the information was accurate? Kabir, the person your daughter loved wasn't responsible for her harm. He loved your daughter and she trusted him with the secret." Rajeev was staring at Harshad in fury but calmed listening to his words. "He wanted to provide justice to your daughter and so he took the help of the firm he was working in. Swara wanted it to come before the world as well, she knew that she wasn't at fault to hide. The culprit should hide his face."

"What rubbish are you talking about?" Rajeev yelled in fear, he was going to grab his collar but Harshad reached for his hand halting it in the mid-air.

"Sir, I am talking politely to you because I respect you. You're bigger than my age and Kiara's father. She won't ever approve of me, dishonoring you." Harshad pleaded, "I understand my words are stabbing your heart. It's making you doubt the person in your house. But does he hold more value to you than your daughters? He had killed your elder daughter and is on the verge of destroying the life of your younger daughter. What are you waiting for? Why can't you face the truth?" Harshad accused. Rajeev stared at him in the puzzle.

"What are you talking about?" Rajeev scowled, "I am not understanding a word."

"You don't want to understand a word," Harshad corrected. "You want to escape from it." Harshad took a step forward, erasing the gap between them. Rajeev was attempting hard to hold back his anger his orbs locked on Harshad. "If you really cared about the truth. About providing justice to your daughter, you would have read those files." Harshad gaze getting hard on Rajeev. "I hope you're going to stand in support of truth rather than blindly following someone's manipulation."

As he muttered those words, his eyes got averted to the person walking towards them from the car. Harshad orbs glancing at the balcony he had jumped from, the tension growing inside him. His heart wasn't allowing him to leave Kiara behind in Ranbir's presence.
