Single Daddy [ Yoonseok/Sope ]

[ Chapter Twenty ]

Yoongi softly placed a damp washcloth on the pup's burning head. He was trying his best to lower down the pup's high fever

"M-mawma.... No feel goo—," the pup said before he was interrupted when he coughed

"I know, I know... Your Papa says that your grandparents will be here any minute. They'll know what to do," Yoongi told the pup, earning a weak smile from the toddler

It was strange for Yoongi to see Kyubok without any energy. Usually, the pup would be running around and talking about random things, he was a big ball of energy

"I'm sure that it'll be okay. You'll be fine," Yoongi said with reassuring tone

"Promise?" Kyubok asked, shortly followed by another cough

"I promise that you'll be fine," Yoongi said while he began to caress the pup's dark brown hair

After a while, the omega pulled his hand out of the pup's hair, earning a whine from the pup

Yoongi began to take away the damp washcloth but before he could replace the washcloth with another one, the door of Kyubok's room was opened harshly

The omega quickly turned to see who had entered only to be pushed away from his spot near the pup's bed

Yoongi stumbled back from the push, he tripped on one of his feet and began to fall back but before he hit the floor, someone caught him

Yoongi smelled the strong scent of scotch whiskey and knew exactly who had stopped him from falling

"Hello, Yoongi," a female's voice said while she released the omega from her grasp

Yoongi quickly stood up right, being face to face with Hoseok's mother

"Hello Eunjoo. Sorry to have had you guys here so early in the morning... Where's your husband?" Yoongi asked

The female pointed her finger to the figure who was beside Kyubok's bed

"My husband is the one who pushed you.. sorry about that. Subin is very protective over Kyubok that he isn't afraid to hurt people," Eunjoo explained

"It's fine, I suppose. I would do the same if it were my child or grandchild who was sick, especially with a high fever," Yoongi said.

The two stood there for while, watching as the other omega was talking to the sick pup

Yoongi could smell the omega's pineapple berries scent sour as the other was worried about his grandchild

Yoongi then smelled the scent of wild cinnamon approaching. He quickly looked back to the open bedroom door and saw Hoseok entering the room

The female alpha also noticed Hoseok's presence, turning around to see her son

"Hoseok, I was just talking to your omega about how overprotective your father is. He then told me that he would also do the same if it were his own pup. Better watch out when you two have children," Eunjoo jokingly said with a chuckle

Both Hoseok and Yoongi blushed at Eunjoo's words. The female laughed at the two's red faces. She continued to laugh until a 'shh' was heard

"Kyubok is sleeping. You all better get out of here if you're going to be so loud," a male voice said softly

"I guess your father is right, Hoseok," Yoongi said

"We should get out of here.. Aren't you coming, Subin?" Eunjoo asked her husband while she began to walk out of the room

"I am. I don't want to accidentally wake up Kyubok," the older omega said as he slowly walked away from the sleeping pup

They all began to quietly walk out of the bedroom
