"So Lord Toga." Bulma sat down next to him.
Roshi and Krillin were sitting across from them at the table in Master Roshi's house.
" Bulma." Toga nods
" You're single right?" Bulma asks
" I'm a widower there's a difference." Toga smirks
" So you never remarried?" Bulma asks
" I did not."
" I'm surprised I am I mean you're such a silver fox." Bulma winks

"You're a beautiful young woman I'm flattered Bulma really but dragons mate for life." Toga chuckles
" So you're bonded for life?" Krillin asks
" That's the idea." Toga nods "Once a dragon mates for the first time that's the person they will love for the rest of their lives." Toga explains
" That's so romantic." Bulma swoons
"I wonder how Midori-ko's doing." Master Roshi finally says opening a beer
" That's a good point." Toga stood "Despite you three being wonderful company I must attend to my daughter." Toga says to them
" Good idea." Krillin gives him a thumbs up.
After Master Roshi, Krillin and Bulma walked Midori-ko's father out to his car they stood there solemnly.
" I hope she's ok." Bulma sighs
Midori-ko was not.
When Lord Toga found her she was a complete mess.
" Oh dear." Toga got down to her level to pick up his daughter
" Dad?" Midori-ko covers her face "Why did he have to die?"
" He'll be back." Toga tells her
" Not for a year." Midori-ko whimpers
" For someone with your strength you rely on him so much." Toga says carrying her to bed
" I miss him." Midori-ko complains
" I know pumpkin." Lord Toga tells her "I miss your mother every day."
" I'm sorry dad I'm being so selfish." Midori-ko whines
" Hush."
Lord Toga was able to get Midori-ko settled in bed, she wasn't asleep but Midori-ko was in her room.
After her father left Midori-ko turned over to Goku's side of the bed. His pillow smelled just like him.
Hugging Goku's pillow the tears returned.

Six months later...
"Hey Master Roshi." Bulma pops into the little house on the tropical island
" Hey there stranger." Master Roshi chuckles
