Currently, everyone is at home right now. Kobayashi is laying down on the couch, Ryder is cooking dinner with Elma telling him to make her favorites, and Tohru is just doing laundry. All while Kanna is nagging Kobayashi and Ryder about her sports festival at her school.
Kobayashi: Gotta work. can't.
Ryder: Same here, It's a very important lunch rush on that day.

Kann: No, it's not you. It's just that Saikawa said our parents could come with us for the day. You're like my big sister, same with lady Elma.

Kanna: Kobayashi is like a mom, and Ryder is like a dad.
Kobayashi gets up while Tohru has already picked up Kanna.
Kobayashi: Remind her that we're not even old enough to have kids yet. Even though some of my friends already have kids...
Ryder: Well, my mom was 16 when I was born.
Tohru: what-
Kobayashi: At any rate, we can't go. Sorry, you'll have to make due with Tohru.

Kanna then storms off to bed
