Ryder Ligero, is a chef for a local restaurant in Japan, he recently moved in with a family friend named Kobayashi into some cheap apartment. One day, Kobayashi came home extremely late, the morning right after that would change their life's in a go...
It would be a nice and sunny day outside. Ryder and Elma would be both alone at the apartment as everyone else was out at school or work. Recently, Ryder had bought Elma a bunch of sweets for Elma. Elma would lean closer towards the sweets at the table as she clapped her hands together with her eyes shining
Elma: I can't believe we're spending our days off eating delicious sweets together! Thank you for the sweets, Ryder!
Ryder: Anytime--
Just then, the doorbell would ring. Elma would look at the door with annoyance, but Ryder would still get up to answer the door. He'd open the door to see Kanna, Saikawa, and Shouta standing outside the door, looking at straight at Ryder
Ryder: Hm? I didn't order anymore kids. I think...
Kanna: We want to go on a picnic. But we can't go on a long trip without an adult.
Ryder: What about Kobayashi?
Elma would then walk up behind Ryder as she wrapped her arms around Ryder's waist from behind and she rested her head on Ryder's shoulder
Elma: She did say she had to work on her day off.
Ryder: What about Tohru?
Kanna would then take out a letter from her back pocket and she'd give it to Ryder
Kanna: She gave me a letter for you two.
Ryder: Let's see then
Ryder would then take note from Kanna gently while Elma looks over Ryder's shoulder as they both would read the letter.
Tohru's note: Kanna suddenly wanted to go to the mountains after watching a survival show. But I have to help out at the maid café today, so I can't go with her, so I'd like to ask you to accompany her. I do have some faith in you two, so try and live up to it. If you even can.
Ryder: Tohru has faith in us?
Elma: The oddly condescending tone concerns me, though.
Ryder: So, you don't mind me taking you later for dinner?
Elma: Not at all! I'll chaperone you!

Saikawa: Way to go, Kanna!
The three kids smile brightly as Elma and Ryder agree to chaperone them. Ryder looks back at Elma with concern
Ryder: You know, we won't have that much food up there.
