trigger warning : sexual assault, vehicular accident

It is time for Brad and Quinn to be seen on a public date again, considering that the last time they did so was a complete success for it made the band’s teaser on their latest album one of the most trending topics upon its release and the magazine’s upcoming social night has already received a number of RSVPs from important people.

What surprised the both of them, however, is that they are assigned to be seen on a cinema date, where they will be photographed leaving the cinema with evidence that they kissed sometime along the way. They are currently being briefed by Mac, who specifically instructed them to go to his office first before going.

“Are the instructions clear?” Mac asks Brad and Quinn, who nod their heads.

“A taxi will take us there, we go to the cinema according to the tickets to the romantic film that you booked for us, we kiss while watching, then we go home in a different taxi and pretend to have a make-out session along the way,” Brad says, then Mac nods.

“Good. Quinn? Can you follow?” Mac asks Quinn, who looks at the mirror once again.

“I can. I’m just…not completely comfortable with my lipstick,” Quinn says, referring to the red lipstick she has to put on so that when she and Brad will kiss, a smudge will be easily seen on her lips and his lips would have slightly more hue than usual, indicating that they kissed.

“Oh, grow up, Quinn. Do you want to do this or not?” Mac asks, then Quinn sighs.

“Do I have a choice?”

“Don’t you dare use that tone with me, Jones. You agreed to this,” Mac says, then he walks out of the office. Brad looks at Quinn, who also looks at him.

“Hey, don’t let him get to your head. He’s mean, but he’s also paying you good money very soon for doing this, so if I were you, I’d be sad, but I'll focus on the money instead,” Brad says, then Quinn sighs.

“Fine. But, if you must know, I really don’t want to do that and I never want to kiss you again. We both know where that got us,” Quinn says, then Brad looks away from her.

“Trust me, I share the same sentiments,” Brad says, then Mac walks in the room again.

“The taxi’s here. You have to start acting like a couple now; you never know when the driver knows either of you,” Mac says, then Brad and Quinn stand up from their seats, holding hands as they walk out of the office and climbing in the car, where Brad tells the driver where to go.

While Quinn and Brad have their faces glued to their phones, Brad's hand was resting peacefully on Quinn's thigh while Quinn was subconsciously rubbing her heels up and down on Brad's leg.

Brad and Quinn get off and go inside the cinema, where there are some people who recognised them. Some did not hesitate to take pictures of the couple, and while Brad keeps a close eye on them, Quinn affectionately holds Brad's hand, brushing his shoulder from time to time. Since they have an audience watching them, they have to make the most of it and convince them that they really are together.
