As much as Brad loves having meetings with his label, especially when they are going to be praised for having their third number one album and talking about the possibility of a UK tour and a world tour, he wants to end the meeting he is in as soon as possible, considering that he is late for his appointment with his therapist.

“We have seen feedback online, and as it turns out, the fans want one of their songs to be released as a single. From the stats, however, we are worried that the song will not do well as a single, since overall streams from the album have plummeted lower than we expected,” Mac says, then one of the label people nods his head.

“The album has already been out for a month. If you do plan to give in to their demand, we suggest doing it in such a way that the single can be marketed beyond the boys’ fans and target audience, considering that what you are about to do is a request from their fans specifically,” one of the people from the label said, then Mac nods his head.

“We know. I devised a plan that will help us with that,” Mac says in a cocky way, then something in Brad twitches. If Mac is that confident about an idea of his, it is probably not a good idea nor is it an idea he’s willing to back down if any member of the band disagrees with him.

Soon, the meeting is adjourned, the label executives leave, and just when the band members are about to leave, Mac clears his throat.

“Brad, can we talk in my office? It’s urgent,” Mac says, then Brad internally groans. He really needed his session with his therapist today, and he didn’t want to spend another second with Mac.

“Alright,” Brad says in defeat, then he follows Mac to his office as he texts Jasmine that he won't make it to his appointment. He immediately gets uncomfortable that it’s just the two of them in the room; the last time he and Mac had a private meeting was the night before Quinn agreed to be his fake girlfriend. He fears that the same will happen again.

“I had a call this morning from an artist who really liked your song that we plan to be a single. She’s willing to be featured in the track should it be a single. Her fanbase is huge, so you may want to think about taking my proposition,” Mac says, then Brad shrugs.

“Who is this artist?”

“Maya Brooks,” Mac says, then Brad hums. He knows Maya as a rising star who has been called out multiple times for being a diva.

“Think about it. A boy next door dating a diva. You two will make headlines! More publicity means more money,” Mac says, then Brad shakes his head.

“Hold on…you want me to date her? Just because she’s going to be featured in a duet?” Brad asks Mac, who nods his head.

“I’m glad you got it. Your and her fans will go ballistic! And, if you two keep it cool and really show them that you’re truly in love, who knows? Maybe they’ll be willing to support the two of you and actually stream the single when it comes out,” Mac says, then Brad shakes his head.
