Brad and Quinn never saw their bosses in the same room with all smiles as they look at them and the work that they have done.

"Great work on the beach date. We got a lot of buzz in the fandom because of that," Mac says, then Brad and Quinn nod.

"It was Brad's idea. I just played along with him," Quinn says, then Mac shoots Brad a smirk.

"I must say, I'm impressed. Your fuckboy attitude paid off, after all," Mac says, then Quinn looks at Brad, who gently shakes his head-a quiet reassurance that he is not bothered by his manager's comment.

"On the other hand, Quinn, if you keep this up, you may just have a shot at being a member of Chronicle's inner circle. I recently discussed with members of the board and a lot of them have been impressed with your initiative and your public profile," Michelle says, then Quinn smiles.

"Thank you, Michelle. That means a lot," Quinn says, then Mac stands up from his seat.

"Your paychecks for the past date. Then, you only have a date left. It must be a relief for the two of you," Mac says as he hands them their money, then they quietly nod their heads. Michelle's phone starts to ring, then she stands up from her seat.

"That's my driver calling. I shall be leaving now," Michelle says, then she leaves the office. Mac gives Brad and Quinn his final instructions before dismissing them.

"Can you believe our relationship is ending soon?" Quinn asks Brad, who smiles as they walk to their cars, which are parked next to each other.

"Yeah. It's been a wild ride. I'm happy it's almost over but sad because that means you and I won't be in contact at all for three months," Brad says, then Quinn sighs.

"True. Why was that in the contract, anyway?"

"Maybe because no one really expected us to be friends in some way."

"You have a point," Quinn says, then her phone starts ringing. She answers it after seeing that the call is coming from her cousin.

"Leonard. What's up?" Quinn says, then her cousin sighs from the other line.

"Hey. Uh, when was the last time you talked to Mammy?"

"About almost two months ago. Why?"

"It's Mammy. She was rushed here just now. They...don't think she has long," Leonard says, then Quinn gets a chill down her spine.

"I'm coming," Quinn says, then she ends the call. She immediately looks at Brad, who has been looking at her the entire time.

"My grandmother. She was rushed to the hospital where Leonard works. They don't think she has long," Quinn sadly says.

"I'm so sorry," Brad says, then Quinn sprints to her car. Brad follows right after her.

"I have to get to her as soon as possible," Quinn says as she unlocks her car.
