It has been a year since Brad and Quinn met for the first time, yet they have not properly interacted with each other since the day Brad said that he liked her and Quinn said that they should keep in touch.

Brad knows that Quinn would go to her hometown often. Quinn knows that Brad went on a world tour with his bandmates. Although they text every so often, their schedules barely lined up, preventing them from properly talking to each other so they can know how their endeavours went.

Every time he could, Brad would go to the bakery where they first met, buy the exact same meal he ordered and wait to see if Quinn will show up.

"Focaccia bread and lemon tea with two sugars, please," Brad says to the cashier, who takes his payment before serving his order to him. He then proceeds to go to the table where he sat, which has a good view of the outside world. As he eats, he tries to remember what he was doing there on the day he and Quinn met, all while keeping his eyes on the lookout for her.

When he is done eating, Brad gets disappointed, yet not surprised, about the fact that Quinn is not there. He puts his used utensils back, and just when he is about to leave, his eyes stop at a woman behind her laptop, enjoying her croissant during the small breaks she would take from typing.

Brad chuckles a little to himself, surprised by the presence of someone so familiar yet so different. Could it be her new haircut? Or the fact that she is confidently wearing a dress he never knew she owned? Or maybe it is the fact that she is with someone whose laptop is also opened in front of them?

Brad feels his heart squeeze a little, and after a while, he sees the other person hold out to her hand, saying something that Brad could not quite comprehend. Quinn, on the other hand, smiles at her companion and waves them goodbye, then they pack their things before standing up and leaving. Meanwhile, Quinn puts her earphones back in her ears, then she types down on her laptop again. Nervously, Brad approaches the table, convincing himself that it is a good idea for him to say hello to Quinn, even if it will be the last time for him to do so.

Brad takes a second to listen to the music bleeding through Quinn's earphones; he's happy to find out that she still likes listening to music in full blast. Brad carefully taps her shoulder, which immediately makes Quinn flinch, but the moment she sees Brad, her surprised face turns into a big smile.

"Brad?" Quinn asks him, then she stands up and gives him a hug after they say hi to each other.

"Quinn. I missed you," Brad says, then they pull away from the hug.

"I missed you, too. It's been a while since we last saw each other. Would you like to sit?" Quinn asks Brad, who nods his head. They both sit down on the table, then Quinn shuts her laptop closed and puts it in her bag.

"How have you been? The last time we talked was when you told me that you're often in your hometown," Brad asks Quinn, who smiles.

"Wow, it really has been that long. Where do I start?" Quinn says, then she chuckles.
