Chapter 35

Hua Cheng's fingers were roaming across every inch of Xie Lian's body shamelessly, making him squirm in silent but delectable torment. The altar was originally a place where one would make offerings to a god, but upon it were a ghost and a god entangled in a heated battle of tongues. Although preposterous – and something that happened more than it could be counted – the scene was beyond breathtaking.

There was a significant difference, though.

Normally, when committing this sort of act, both parties were more or less clear-headed, and there was always a justifiable reason, at least some measure of control behind lust and desire. However, this time, Xie Lian was the only one there with his reasoning still intact, though his mind was foggy thanks to the haze that kept rising with his husband's attentions.

Hua Cheng had always been a fiery lover, all hands and lips and instinctive sensuality, but never he had been like that, so desperate to feel Xie Lian's skin under his fingers, so eager and burning up inside and out to the point of his movements becoming clumsy, too quick for his weakened senses to follow.

The god could already tell it was going to be a long, drawn-out night.

He didn't mind.

The time to finish that thought, and Hua Cheng finally had enough of the fabric hiding and shielding his husband's skin from his hands. Xie Lian could only watch as the beautiful clothes ended up in shreds, tore away from his body with so much force he would have been yanked away as well hadn't Hua Cheng's other hand been firmly planted on his chest.

Like that, skin on skin, the god was able to feel the heat emanating from the ghost with much more clarity. It was exhilarating, how hot that touch was, how pliant he was willing to become under those hands; they didn't waste time, already resuming their wandering over now bare skin, caressing and scratching wherever they could reach in their wake.

Xie Lian let out a shuddering breath when those fingers ran down his sides, leaving behind a faint trail of scratches, groaned when those hands grabbed him by the waist for just a second before moving back up. Palms splayed open on his chest, Xie Lian was hyper-aware of his own hands resting on the cold jaded altar, fingers curling as a yelp left his mouth. Hua Cheng played with him, using the tips of his fingers to pinch and roll nipples, his nails to scratch at the sensitive flesh just around the reddened buds. The heat coming from him only heightened every sensation, Xie Lian quick to become a groaning mess under that sweet, lustful care.

The ghost kept touching and touching, Xie Lian laying there and simply taking it, head moving from side to side and a involuntary cry rising up when, without warning, an even hotter mouth dived in to take an already sensitive nipple between wet lips.

It was never like that with Hua Cheng, never so rushed. Even in their shortest... Xie Lian didn't really want to call them rounds, but he lacked a better word for it, he took his time to be gentle, to taste his husband before taking him, or before being taken. Now, though, he was like a beast, swallowing every bite without savoring it first, eager to get to the best part as if he forgot how to chew and break down the pieces.

Xie Lian found that he didn't mind it that much.

Yearning to touch him in return, the god moved his right hand to Hua Cheng's head, burying it in disheveled hair. He would normally have no struggles in keeping his husband right where he wanted it, the strength in his muscles more than enough, but as he tried to stop the ghost from moving too fast left to right he found it almost impossible.

The thought of it, although shameless, made Xie Lian's mouth water.

Thanks to Mount Tong'lu messing with him, Hua Cheng was currently stronger than Xie Lian. And the god, against his best judgment, found it so impossibly hot that a moan made its way out his mouth, obscene between the walls of their temple.
