So before I get onto thanks, I want to tell you guys a little about me. The author you guys have been reading for a while now. If you haven't noticed (from the numerous Author's Notes at the bottom of chapters) I'm Kari. I've got amazing friends, like, seriously, I cry with laughter at least once a day. I'm pretty funny, I cannot go a day without being sarcastic. It's actually sad. I've never once gone through love or had a kiss/boyfriend. But I don't mind. It's not something I really care much about... I have pretty cool guy friends (as said previously) and although I MAY have my eye on certain... guys It's highly unlikely I will ever talk to/interact with these people.
Inspiration for the book: Boredom. Seriously. I wrote, when I first got my laptop, a bunch of little short sentences. One of these was 'Girl falls for best friend after accidentally kissing him'.That was it. I left it a few months and then, one sunny day, wrote a three-page synopsis for AK.
It didn't work out. I mean, ONE) Jason wasn't gay. TWO) There was no mention of Preston after chapter 4. THREE) They were meant to end up together and FOUR) Trevor was called something else. I can't even remember what, but it was something like Bill, or Bob. Or Billy Bob, but highly unlikely.
