I still remember
That cold September
You held me in your arms
Like nothing could do me harm
I still recall
The longest phone call
You made me trust
That vows could last
I still believe
Wounds could heal
Until you left
My heart's a wreck
I still yearn
Love I used to earn
That certain gaze
To me you gave
I still thirst
Smell of your shirt
I used to own
Things you've worn
I still try
To fake a smile
Forced to face
Reality's case
I still miss
Your hugs and kisses
When we're together
Thought it's forever
I still embrace
Your remarkable grace
Etched in my memory
For all eternity
Stuck in love
We used to have
Left with a void
I'm struggling to avoid
Stuck in the past
Never will last
Said you'll stay
Now you're far away
I won't erase
Everything we made
I'll always treasure
Our relationship's measure.
