How wonderful could it be to write a story about you and me
To tell the world how you sneaked into my life
With untied shoelaces and knocked persistence
Before I was yours, I was mine
And before you were mine, you were someone else's
We collided, never thought of ever being departed
In this world full of outrageous cries for help, you were my hero
Standing in all your masculine glory
Fighting battles and surviving struggles
Yet you failed to save me from my own sorrows
I couldn't really blame you, I know I can't
For I haven't let you in, that's quite unplanned
We were two stars out shined by the others
But together, our lights are even brighter
Little by little, our sparks are gone
For we tried to push harder to be even better
But in the end, we lost ourselves
Extinguished stars we were
We stopped illuminating
As we watch the dark sky fall into silence in the distance.
