"Make a wish," you say
I close my eyes as I whisper to the stars
Love, dream, and hope I pray
As we live through these tedious hours
You wilt and thrash under the rigid tension
Dreary routines seize a prominent spark
Yet as the clock nears an hour of elation
Thoughts steer you away from the dark
You ride the waves toward the closest shore
Only to get lost deep down below
Don't rush to find the ocean's core
Live in the moment at its finest glow
They say hope breeds eternal misery
But dreamers are the greatest wishers
Someday I'll scribble down our story
Wherein words will be engraved in pictures
You and I are split into exact parallels
In between destiny and serendipity
Brought together by what 11:11 tells,
A wild legacy is made coincidentally
I wander, write and walk through the night
Yet every single time I'm taken by surprise
I'm always brought right back to your site
It's become my home with an indeterminate price
In all the time I knew you
It's been one heck of a ride
I'll give credit where it's due
But you've certainly heightened the tide
I'll always turn you into poetry
Don't say I didn't warn you
My mind is my favorite territory
Where you never say, "Adieu"
It's only in these dimensions
That I can draw you into my world
So break free from apprehensions
For they've never been what you deserved
You claim time as an underrated power
Yet power is gained through time
And so I learned to bloom like a wildflower
As you cross the distance to my shrine
"Make a wish," I say
I close my eyes as I promise to the stars
That 11:11 will invariably carve your name in gray
On the skies above that will forever be ours.
