At the beginning of a night's lullaby, I rejoice
But realize then I don't know
The sound of your voice,
And even your eyes are two holes, abysmal
It's a fall, simultaneously
Grimmy and crystal.
You cannot walk straight,
You don't do what you've been told,
And I know, as the night's growing old,
I'll never stop moving side to side
From white to gray,
From 'goodbye' to 'please stay'.
Won't you realize I'm a mere, cold and blue
That flawlessly resembles you?
Your happiness and sorrow
Determine my tide, high and low
And everything you are causes me a crumb of pain
But I don't mind this wreck or the bloodstain.
Skin smells like an outer space,
Freckles remind me of lunar seas.
You exhale dust, I inhale you and disorient.
You kiss me and vanish
In the dawn, vague and vital,
I cry because this is a long, melancholic cycle.
