Chapter 5

"Attention everyone can I have everyone's attention please and thank you." My uncle said into the mic

Everyone quieted down and I couldn't help to roll my eyes. I wonder what he was going to say now.

"I would just like to first thank everyone for coming here tonight. Without you we couldn't make this tournament possible." He started "second I would like to thank all the contestants that came out this year. Having you compete for us is such a pleasure."

Everyone cheered and applauded for him. Only if everyone knew the real him they wouldn't be applauding him.

"This tournament is a big part of our community and helps us stay in order without that we have no balance and that's why I thank everyone who had ever participated in it. Not only do you win for yourself but you win for Alancia and you become everyone's hero, everyone's champion and that is a beautiful thing." He continued

"My uncle has such a way with words." I mumbled to myself and I guess Jackson has heard me because he laughed

"Lastly before I let everyone enjoy the party I would like to announce something very important." My uncle said looking his way toward me

Oh no please don't exposed me.

My eyes open in terror as people's gazes started to go towards me.

"I would like to announce that the daughter of our former leader before me and my niece has made a return back to Alancia and is taking apart in this years tournament. Thank you for representing our family and your home." He smiled at me easing his glass "Welcome home princess."

A big light shined on me and I heard the room uproar in cheers. I suddenly was bombarded by cameras and people and was suddenly feeling overwhelmed.

Jackson tried to tell everyone to back off but they wouldn't listen.

"I did not expect this to happen." Jackson yelled

"You think?" I glared at him

There were still cameras flashing in my face but eventually my uncle called them off and they moved away from us. My uncle looked at me like he was amused.

"Something funny uncle?" I asked him

"No not at all you just look beautiful my darling." He said

"Why did you do that? Now everyone knows who I am." I hissed at him

"Because everyone needed to know my darling. It will only help you in the long run."

"And why do you want to help me?" I asked him with spite

"Because I want your trust back." He simply said walking away to greet some other guest

My mind was spinning in circles

"Are you okay?" Jackson asked me

I nodded my head "yeah I'm okay."

Rachel walked up to us, "That was quite the show."

"Not the time for jokes Rachel," Jackson said to her clearly not amused.

She put her hands up in surrender, "I just wanted to make sure she was okay. Looked a little overwhelming."

"You think?" I said but then sighed "Thank you though I'm fine."

She smiled "it's my pleasure princess."

I glared at her "Please don't call me that. I'm no princess."

She laughed "oh I know you aren't but to everyone else you are and now you are going to be a main target in these games. Your going to need all the allies you can get in this game."
