Simple things

It's a cold night,

And I m listening to a song

About a guy falling in love

With everything

She is embarrassed to show.

They both fall in love

And kiss on first day of the snow.

I cover myself with my cardigan

And lay my head on my notebook

As I sigh at the love life of a fictional couple.

In the dramas and the stories

The guy falls in love while watching her fall asleep

In real life we do call them a creep.

When I fall asleep while standing on the moving bus,

I wake up when my face hits the rod.

Because life isn't a kdrama

With disappointment I nod.

You see it's not always the case that the cute guy is taken.

He didn't notice you falling asleep

Or didn't put a palm on your forehead

To prevent you from getting injured.

He might have been busy laughing

No, not at you

But at the memes that keeps his eyes

Glued to the screen.

So love at first swipe has taken over

Falling for simple things.
