Eliana Joy-

The next day, Tyler wasn't by the ocean. That made me kinda upset if I had to be honest.

I saw a scribble in the sand, right where Tyler usually sat.

'Can I understand you?' Was written nicely.

I sighed and took a picture of the sunset, the mixture of oranges and yellows blending into a beautiful image.

I walked to the tree house, hoping that Tyler wasn't there. To my joy, he wasn't and everything was how it should be.

I looked at the latest picture, the orange and yellow sunset of today. It was so pretty, it really was.

What Tyler had written in the sand, or I assumed it was Tyler, rang through my head.

Can I understand you? Was it aimed at me? Does he think he can understand me? Does he think he can't?

I sighed as I pegged the image to the string, staring at the blank, white area under the photograph.

I wanted to link it to the writing in the sand, somehow. I just didn't know what to write and my brain was empty for the first time.

I lay down on the floor of the tree house and stared at the ceiling. I was quite afraid that it might fall down one day.

I suddenly knew what to write, so I quickly grabbed the black marker pen and scribbled.
