Everybody Dies in the End

They pulled over on the side of the road so Warren could fix the car.

Ace, 10k and 5k climb out of the other car and wait. 5k climbs onto the hood and sits down as Ace and 10k stand.

"How are you holding up?" Ace asks

"I'm tired. That's all." He says

"You sound unsure." Ace points out

"I'm fine. Don't worry." He smiles

Ace nods her head and looks away.

"Where'd you find 5k?" 10k asks

"Caw!" 5k says happily

"In the woods. The first time I ran off I saw him wandering. I told him to stay local and I kept him close." She explains

Warren leans out of the window. "All right Everybody, let's go!"

Ace nods her head to Warren and turns to 10k. "I'll drive you rest." Ace says

"I got it." He says

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah." He says still sounding unsure.

"Wheels up!" Warren says

Everyone climbs back into their cars and heads off down the road.

Ace sits in the passenger seat. 10k starts to breathe funny.

"Hey, Everything all right?" Ace asks

Suddenly he passes out.

"Shit!" Ace says

Ace grabs the wheel and honks the horn with her other hand. She tries to flag them down. She swerved the car to the side of the road and moved 10k's food off of the gas.

She climbs out of the truck and pulls him into the back seat.

"Watch him." Ace orders to 5k asks she runs to the other side of the car

"What happened?" Warren asks as she runs over

"He was breathing funny. Then he had a sharp pain and he collapsed." Ace explains

10k struggles to take in air. His breaths is quick and dry. His chest rises and falls quickly.

"His heart's racing. High fever." Sun says. "Given all the chemicals pumped into his bloodstream, this could be anything." She says

"Check his shoulder." Ace says as she moves his shirt aside

There is an infected bullet wound.

"Infected," Sun says. "Damn."

Ace rips the sleeve of her shirt off and wraps it around the wound. She does the same to the other arm and wraps it around the other wrap to make sure he doesn't bleed through as fast.

"We got to keep moving. How is he?" Warren says

Sun Mei shakes her head no.

"All right. Ace, you drive. Sun Mei, you stay with him. Hopefully, he'll be strong enough to fight once we land. Hang in there, 10k. Let's go."

Ace nods her head and climbs into the driver's seat. 5k gets in the passenger seat and Sun Mei with 10k in the back.

"We're here." Ace says as they pull up to a cliff

They get out of the cars and get their guns ready.

They run up to see Doc on the ground with a small horde of zombie headed his way.

"Stay down!" Ace yells as she runs up and fires her golden pistols.
