glitter

Those pretty onyx eyes that peeked through the blades under the evening sky
You hid in the waters of the shiny, glittery pond as if apprehensive about acknowledging my presence
My curiosity gave my legs a mind of its own when I moved closer
You backed further into the shadows making my steps fade to a stop
Our eyes connected and those orbs sent me into a galaxy unknown
Instantly freezing in my spot time flew by as the sun leisurely played behind the trees

The dull purple and pink sky gave you an ethereal glow; the way your skin shone flawlessly was mythical
The soft ripples of water was the only sound that I could hear
Slowly you a lifted your body from the refuge of the bush and showed yourself
Still lost in a trance my body jerked when reality finally seeped in that you were in front of me

Water dripped down the sides of your face as I was lost in a trance
My hand cautiously reached out to touch you
I held my hand midair when uncertainty flashed behind those eyes
Though catching me by surprise when your soft yet cold skin grazed my palm
You radiated under my touch as your long lashes fluttered close
Such a beautiful and mystic creation that I stumbled on

How I controlled myself will remain a mystery for the years to come
How you stepped into my life so suddenly shall also remain a story untold
How I fell in love with you at first sight shall puzzle me for as long as I live
How you looked so dazzling and unreal shall for sure lure me undoubtedly

I noticed my finger were shining with sparkles like fairy dust
I also saw how sad you looked at me as if you were apologetic in a sense
My insides churned and my fingers were becoming white-like transparency
My trembling lips and scared eyes searched yours for an answer but you just frowned. Why?

My mind crippled as my heart went haywire just watching my fingers disappear
Your arms embraced my fading frame as you patted my head soothingly
It didn't hurt but the tears flowed as if there was no tomorrow
Sadly, I didn't know how right I was when the thought had crossed my mind
Your soft lips brushed my ears and you whispered with a purr
"I'm sorry, but at least you'll be as pretty as glitter"
With that I was lost, my existence erased and a pile of glitter in place of my body
He scooped it into his hand and threw it into the pond

Yes, hello again, this is more of a magical piece so I'd love to hear feedbacks. I hope to become better one day so thank you for all the love you all show me❤️💕
