nostalgia

Late when the owls are out and when the sun is down
In my bed I lay with a frown
Eyes open wide when I'm meant to be in slumber
Cuddled in sheets from the harsh cruelty of September
My head is filled with stories of you and me
Back to those times when I thought we were meant to be

Now it's all a lullaby of tears that I play every night
All those happy moments so sinfully wrong yet so perfectly right
You were a like a star in my void galaxy of darkness
The way I melted into your soft feather like caress
Now all the memories feel like a stab or a bullet shot through my heart
However I knew it was a dangerous game right from the start

Bittersweet and painful; I still keep them like precious pearls in my mind
I want to reboot my existence to those days when you were loving and kind
To hold you in my arms and tell you how beautiful you are
And snicker when you blush like the most elegant soul I've seen so far
Now they remain as the past, everything shut out and labeled history
Will there come the day where I'd be finally rid of this hellish misery?

I hope so
But till then I'll sing this song of nostalgia

I was listening to some songs and it made me remember things I've worked hard on trying to forget. So I thought portraying my feelings in black and white would help me, and this is beauty which was born through my midnight tears.

Each and every poem is usually driven by an emotion; this happening to be nostalgia.
