As the Lyft pulled up into the front of the police station I mumbled a quick 'thank you' and rushed inside.

I saw Emmanuel talking to a tall white officer, "Emmanuel," I say walking into the station only to have an officer step in front of me.

"That's my girlfriend, I called her here," Emmanuel told the officer in front of me. "Be cool,"

The officer nodded stepping out my way. Grabbed Emmanuel by his face and checked for any injuries.

"Girl, I'm good." He smirks. "I'm always good."

"No, what the fuck happened." He rolled his eyes.

"After I dropped you off, I went to see my momma for a minute, then I went home and came back to it trashed." He shrugged.

"I don't care though, that's materialistic stuff." I sighed knowing exactly who did it.

"I'm about to call Carlotta and tell her you gone stay with us for a few days." I kissed his cheek and walked outside.

I quickly hit *67 before typing in the very familiar number.

"Hello?"

"What's yo problem?"

"You got me fucked up."

"Nah, you got me fucked up. Why, can't you just leave me alone?"

"Me and you both know we meant to be. I told you can no leaving sweetheart."

"Keep playing and I swear to god, I will have somebody really kill you. Now that's something we both know."

"Bitch! Nobody will stand between us, I already told you. Call anybody but you ain't leaving me unless you dead."
