The bell rang and school was over for the day. When Andy passed by the parking lot, he saw Rebecca talking to a guy carrying a bouquet of flowers, a big box of chocolate and a huge sign saying “WILL U GO 2 PROM W/ ME?”
The guy has his back on Andy so he couldn’t see who he was. Andy couldn’t stay to watch how it’ll turn out because he promised his mom to help out in the kitchen. And besides he couldn’t bear to watch because he knew he couldn’t beat that. So he simply walked away.
Back at home his mother was boiling water on the stove. She asked how his day went and he told her about the guys asking Rebecca to be their prom date. His mother said that he should ask Rebecca to be his date but he lost hope after seeing the guy at the parking lot. He asked if he could go out and get some air. Her mother smiled and went back to cooking.
