3rd P.o.V
Edelgard faced Dimitri with no sorrow in her eyes as she raised her relic. Dimitri raised his head and stared at her and then to Byleth. "P-Professor... What have you done? You should've come to me!" Dimitri shouted and then he coughed. Byleth stayed quiet. "Your quietness, Professor. It will stay like that after you and Edelgard has died." Dimitri added. Byleth was still quiet. "Shut your mouth, Dimitri." Edelgard hissed. Byleth's face twitched with sadness. "I will not listen to you. I will not take orders..." Dimitri croaked
"Professor? Would you do the honours?" Edelgard asked Byleth. He hesitated. Should I? He asked himself. He could feel tears revolve around his eyes. Byleth made his choice, which was a no, and shook his head. "If you wish," Edelgard said and turned to look at Dimitri. His face looked horrible. He had bags in his eyes and sleep crust too. His face had scorch marks, bruises and cuts. Byleth breathed heavily. He looked down and sighed. He hesitantly opened his mouth and spoke in a shakily manner. "Prince Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd," Byleth stammered. Dimitri stared at Byleth with shock while Edelgard's face turned to horror, shock, but mostly excitement. "I have been given this sword, as a gift from Rhea," Byleth said, trying to keep his voice from shaking but failing tremendously, "Rhea gave this to me and now she is telling me to keep it like a gift. Dimitri. I wanted to choose you, to teach. But..." Byleth hesitated. Edelgard's face transitioned to horror. "But I didn't. Something made me stop. Your darkness lurking inside you... Is dangerous and I have finally realised that. Edelgard... If you insist... Kill Dimitri!" Byleth said, shouting the last part. Edelgard's lips twitched up into a smile. "Do you hear that, Dimitri!? Do you hear that?!! That was your own professor!!" Edelgard shouted in a maniacally manner
"DO YOU HEAR THAT?!!" Edelgard screamed. Dimitri's eyes swelled with tears. "After five years... I wanted to bond with you, Professor." Dimitri said, shaking
"Edelgard... You will know the regret from my father who was killed for you! Of my stepmother who was slain by the hands of her own daughter!" Dimitri shouted, "You will bow you head before all of the lives you've killed and trampled before you die in misery." Dimitri said while his voice shook. "Your obsession to try kill me is appalling. If you were a normal human, you would've committed suicide already." Edelgard replied. It's now time for Edelgard, the crown princess of the Adrestian Empire, to kill Dimitri. Dimitri looked down and tears fell out of his eyes. "Farewell... King of Delusion." Edelgard said as she raised her axe
"Edelgard... You are... Becoming... Like... M-Me. You are b-becoming... Like t-the one who y-you are going to k-" Edelgard slashed her axe towards Dimitri before he could finish his sentence. He fell on the ground and Byleth ran up to him, crying. "D-Dimitri!!" Byleth screamed. "Byleth. What are you doing touching that filthy rat like him?" Edelgard asked with remorse
"Dimitri..." Byleth whispered as he rose up from his spot. "Professor. We need to send Rhea to retreat. And then... We will live our normal lives." Edelgard said. She glanced over the dead corpse that was once Dimitri's. "Byleth... I may need some space, please." Edelgard said and he nodded and left. Edelgard walked over to Dimitri's corpse and crouched over him. "Dimitri... Your sacrifice was needed... May your next life... End with happiness." Edelgard said and she stood up and left. After Edelgard and Byleth faced off Rhea and defeated her dragon form and Byleth almost died and his hair colour changed to normal, they left towards the Church to pray to the ones who died and helped them throughout the process of Edelgard's plan. Bernadetta, Hubert, Linhardt. Byleth sighed. and looked up. "May your life be happy." Byleth whispered to himself. As he was walking around the Monastery's grounds, he was stopped by Edelgard. "Oh. Hello, Edelgard." Byleth said
"Hello." She replied, "You spoke. You rarely speak." Edelgard pointed out
"I know I spoke." Byleth nodded
"But why?" Edelgard asked and this was when Byleth became emotional. "Dimitri... My sister... And yes. I have a sister, served for his kingdom and she... She became romantically in love with him. Dimitri told me that her soul still clung to his body. I wanted to respect the feeling so I went with you. I didn't want remorse on him... He had to die... So I... I made up... And spoke. Not in a calm manner... But he told me he needed to die... So all of the souls clinging on to him... Left him be... But I don't think that will happen. He will remember what happens after he is born and he will be left like the last time we saw him. Dead and... And depressed." Byleth explained and he stopped. "I shouldn't of said that much." Byleth said
"Byleth. Dimitri isn't here. We need not worry." Edelgard smiled but Byleth slouched on to the wet, muddy grass. "But... When Dimitri is gone... Who will rule the Kingdom of Faerghus? And Leicester?" Byleth asked 
"No one will. We will be the only ones left. Ferdinand, Petra, Dorothea and Caspar would make children and they will rule each kingdom. We will make a new goddess and we will change Fódlan to the better place unlike now." Edelgard said and Byleth's lips turned upwards and he was smiling. "When are you and Hubert going to take the wedding?" Byleth asked and Edelgard looked taken aback. "Pardon? Hubert and I? I don't think he'll be my husband. He will be better off with Dorothea or Petra." Edelgard said as she sat on the ground with Byleth
"So... You're going to be with Ferdinand?" Byleth asked and she shook her head
"So... Who?" Byleth asked and Edelgard laughed
"It's you, Byleth. Hadn't you noticed? I've been wanting to be with you ever since the start when you helped us." Edelgard replied
"I was struck with remorse when you said you might go with Dimitri." Edelgard sighed
"You... You loved me?" Byleth stuttered and she nodded. 
2 years later
"Byleth. You must take care of Edelgard. No matter what." Hubert, Byleth's best man, hissed and Byleth chuckled, a deep chuckle
"Of course I will." Byleth said and Edelgard walked in. She wore a beautiful, white dress with pearls and a few diamonds and jewels dotted around. "How do I look?" Edelgard asked with a cute smile. Hubert sighed and left Byleth and Edelgard be. "You look amazing, Edelgard." Byleth replied with a smile of his own. "Thank you." Edelgard said and silence interrupted. "Er... You never kissed me... Or hugged me... When you said that you loved me..." Edelgard whispered but loud enough for Byleth to listen
"Pardon?" Byleth asked and he knew what she wanted. Byleth sighed and tackled Edelgard into a hug. He pecked her on the lips and Edelgard became a bright red. Whistling and giggles was heard from the door and Byleth looked up slowly to see Ferdinand and Hubert whistling, Petra and Dorothea giggling and Fellie and Freya, two young girls and daughters of Ferdinand and Petra, who were both groaning in disgust. 
1 year later
The young white headed boy ran around the grassy field near Garreg Mach Monastery. His face bright as he chased a brother of his, a dark headed boy with pale skin. The white headed boy was called Dimitri, Edelgard's and Byleth's son who was named after Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd and the dark haired boy was named Claude, who was named after Claude Von Riegan. "Mother!!" Dimitri shouted as he leapt on to Edelgard's lap. Edelgard's face turned sour for a quick second. Byleth slightly glared at her. "He's your son, Edelgard dear." Byleth whispered in her ear and Edelgard sighed
"I know. Dimitri just seems..." Edelgard hesitated
"Dimitri is a kind man who had problems." Byleth sighed, "He needed respect. So did Claude." Byleth added
"Okay. I will be nicer." Edelgard smiled and Byleth did too. He went in for a kiss on the lips and Edelgard flinched but she moved in too. A groan and a laugh was heard so they both separated. "Hahaha!!!! That's funny!" Claude shouted
"Ew! Why in front of us?" Dimitri asked as he poked out his tongue. Byleth and Edelgard both looked at each other. "They're like the same as them." Edelgard smiled and Byleth nodded
"Agreed.".
