Your P.o.V

I could tell he was dead inside from the first time I met him after five long years that felt like an eternity. It pained my heart that he refused my hugs. My stomach sunk low as he spat insulting and threatening things at him. But what hurt me the most, what crushed my heart was that he pointed his own lance at me and threatened to murder me.

"Dimitri! Just let me help you!" I shouted, jumping over rocks and fallen over trees and stumps
"Leave me alone." He whispered
"I want you to be back!" I exclaimed, "Please! Everyone needs you! Could you just-" As I grabbed his cape, he shrugged me off. I tripped, stumbling over a few rocks and bumped into Dimitri's feet. I moaned and sat up, staring at the tip of the lance. "Leave me alone. I don't need you or anyone else! Be gone! Or else you'll be another rat, who has died by the hands of me." He growled. I shuffled back. "Oh, yes, Your Majesty." I mumbled, standing up and bowing down before scuttling off.

I couldn't help but cry it off. It was hard to see someone you care so dearly threaten to murder you. Why do I even care about him?
You like him.
Of course I like him!
A lot.
I stared at the window. I like him a lot? I shouldn't burden over the fact that Dimitri clearly hates me. I'm just trying to do good for him! He never liked me in the first place, didn't he? He's just a prince, doing good for everyone. I rolled my eyes and slouched down on the table in front of me, sighing for the millionth time. My thoughts swirled around and I couldn't get a good grasp on anything to think about. There was this one thought that plagued me. It was war. War has influences many people here. But it has changed Dimitri the most. He has been fighting hard, being selfless and avenging his loved ones who were dead. He hates us. But I won't let that stop me from getting closer to him. I won't let him die to the ones who has killed his loved ones. I grabbed my sword and walked out of Garreg Mach. I heard whispers as I walked passed the Blue Lions, Seteth and Flayn but that didn't bother me. I opened the door and casually walked out.

The sky became bright orange, small, fluffy, white clouds floating. I rubbed my eyes, tiredness overcoming me as I travelled far away from Garreg Mach. I was in the Kingdom capital for some unknown reason, but I wanted to take back the few regions in the Kingdom who has joined with Edelgard. The sun was now down, bright stars dotted around the inky black sky. One of them was the deceased loved ones for Dimitri... He must have a lot on his shoulders to guide a Kingdom. I sat down, the moon shining bright while the sun was completely gone, and leaned against a tree, staring at the sky. Each one of those stars represents a sun and each sun represents the god of each universe. I smiled to myself before hearing a crack and a rustle. I spun around, my eyes frantically moving around in search of an enemy. "Who's there?" I whispered
"I'm here." I heard cackling erupt from the darkness and a muscular man emerge out of the darkness. I grabbed my sword and jumped up. "Stay away from me! You don't know how strong I am!" I screamed. More and more bandits morphed out into the moonlight, there faces plastered with grins and smirks. I started to shiver, hands shaking violently and everything becoming ice cold. The air was thick and tears started to form. Three bandits made their first move. I blocked on and dodged the other, but the third one hit me with his axe. I hissed in pain as I tried to pull myself up. "Just give up already!" The enemy shouted, bearing his yellow teeth. Everyone started to cackle. "Be quiet!" I exclaimed. The laugh was swarmed into my shout. "SHUT UP!" I screamed on the top of my lungs. The enemy became quiet, grins plastering on everyone's face. "You made a grave mistake of saying those two words." He hissed. The group of bandits charged at me. I injured a few so they had to retreat, but more enemies kept coming. I dropped to the floor, my sword flew out of my hands and dropped to the floor, a few metres away from me. Cuts and bruises were scattered around my body, blood staining the forest floor. I stretched my hand out towards my sword, my finger grazing it. The enemy leader kicked the sword away and stomped on my hand. I screamed, pain shooting through out my body. He raised his axe high. "Any last words, weakling?" He asked, stepping off my hand. I whimpered. "No..." I replied
"Heh. You better say something quick. You'll might regret it." He said, joy coating his voice
"Just murder me already. Make it quick." I choked
"Alright." He replied. He lowered his axe. My whole body dropped to the floor, aching with pain as I waited for death to come. My breath was slow so I closed my eyes. Why not make it quick already? "(Y/n)...?".

My breath was quick as I cut down the leaves. A group of bandits surrounded the young girl who screamed. My one eye widened, fear overcoming me as I murdered the bandits with my lance. In the corner of my eye, I saw the young girl with the same (c/h) as (Y/n). No... It couldn't be (Y/n). I threw my lance on the ground and grabbed the man's axe and his head with my other hand. I started to laugh uncontrollably as the man screamed in pain. "SUFFER!" I screamed, "YOU WILL PAY FOR EVERYONE WHO YOU MURDERED!" I roared
"T-This is the only one who I was about to kill! I'll stop hurting her, I promise!" He whined, blood erupting out of his mouth
"You will still pay for hurting her." I hissed, finally engulfing my hands over his head. He screamed briefly then stopped, life escaping his scarred body. I stared at my hands. What have I done? My eyes wondered around and locked over to (Y/n)'s limp body. I bent down, placing a hand on her back gently before speaking out her name, my voice coated in worry.

"Dimitri?" I mumbled. I sat up before dropping the ground, moaning in pain. "Don't move. I'm going to carry you back to Garreg Mach." He whispered. I hummed in response, feeling my consciousness die down one me.

I regained my consciousness and found myself on the soft beds of the monastery. My eyes fluttered opened and I saw a sleeping Dimitri by the edge of the bed. He looks like he was going to fall off. I grabbed on it his shoulders, squeezing it slightly in comfort. His eyes opened at the touch. He sat up straight and stared into my eyes. "You're awake, you're awake!!!" He cheered
"Yes, I'm awake, Your Highness." I whispered in fear, curling in a ball on the edge of the bed, trying to get as far as possible from him
"Why so scared?" He asked
"W-Was I suppose to not be scared?" I asked, before tears swelled in my eyes
"Of course not, (Y/n)." He replied, a frown morphing on to his face, "What did I cause to scare you?"
"Y-You... Don't you need some time away from everyone? You were distancing away from everyone and you... Threatened to murder me when we last spoke." I mumbled, burying my head into the blanket
"I carried you all the way to Garreg Mach and let you rest on my bed. I'm okay now, (Y/n). You don't have to fear me. I don't want you to fear me anyways." He smiled, reaching his hands out for a hug
"Warm hugs?" He begged, worry and fear plastered on his face
"Why so scared?" I asked, a small grin appearing on my face as I teased him. He chuckled and pulled me into a hug. "Warm hugs." I whispered, burying my face into his chest.

God jeez, I hate how this is written. D:
