Your P.o.V

I pulled my hoodie on and stuffed my hands in my pockets, breathing out from my mouth as a big puff of white air emitted out of it. My ears and nose were red and numb and my whole face was pale. I stared at the people of this town. Adults conversing about politics and the weather while young children laughed, playing with snow. As I walked, avoiding the citizens of (insert a country here), I thought to myself, will I ever be as happy as them? Yet people will call it illegal. I never should be happy. The fallen, thin sheets of leaves crunched below my feet as I walked forward. My lips slightly tugging upwards, I felt the ringing of laughter in my ears and the heat coming from bakeries, giving me goosebumps. I closed my eyes, letting everything I smelt, heard or touched take over me, until I opened my eyes again and saw a snowy path, the sunbeams barely shining over the town. I walked a step forward, but then I was stopped by a few males I've seen in the streets mugging children and taking their sweets and bullying them.
"Hello, Jake." I said coldly, eyeing them up and down
"Why do you have a smile?" The male, Jake, asked
"Why can't I have one?" I asked back
"Because you're happy. It's illegal." One of his mates, Jamie, stepped forward. He was rather muscular.
"If I have a smile, it doesn't mean I'm happy. Now get out of my way please. I won't dare to hurt you." I threatened. A small boy, his brown hair and eyes shining with hatred stepped up, standing on his toes to look big.
"My father will murder you if you stop being happy!" He squeaked. I rolled my eyes and walked around them, but the three of them stepped in my way. "Please, move." I sighed
"Yeah, go move, cowards!" I heard a voice shout. My (c/e) wandered up to a tree branch. A male teen, probably around seventeen years old smile down at the four of us like a bright beam of light shining upon us. He hung from the branch, upside down and tilted his head. "Why are you threatening a young, beautiful woman?" The male asked, his brown hair moving in the cold, Winter wind. His brown eyes stared at me. I felt heat spread on my cheeks. The trio scolded at the male teen and scurried away. I looked at them one more time before letting my eyes wander to the teenager. "Thanks." I smiled, nodding to him and walking forward. He chuckled and dropped on to the snowy floor on his two feet. "No problem, cutie!" He exclaimed. My existent blush grew deeper as I looked away from the male. I eyed him cautiously. He was good looking... AH! Don't say that! He barely knows you and you have no idea what this man is capable of. Capable of... My eyes moved behind him to a wooden curve with a line of silver at each of the ends of it. Oh god... He had a bow. I gasped and grabbed a stick. "What do you want?!" I shouted, stepping back. He tilted his head in confusion. "I know when someone is going to murder me!" I added
"I'm not going to murder you!" He retorted
"B-But you have a bow!" I pointed out
"I'm not going to hurt you still! You're innocent!" He retaliated
"B-But... You're lying!" I screamed. I dropped the stick and sprinted. Who was he?

I ran fast. My face became redder and I was out of breath. I looked around. I was in the middle of town in front of a cafe. Warmth radiated out of the small shelter. I stood up straight and entered the small cafe. I heard a ding from behind. "Hello, (Y/n)." An old man smiled. I smiled back at him and sat down at the table in the small corner. An old woman came up to my table and smiled in greeting. I waved at her and listed the things I wanted, "A latte with sugar and milk and a blueberry muffin and a vanilla cupcake please.". The woman nodded and a few minutes later, I got my order. I grabbed the coffee and sipped it, tasting the warm liquid. I bit into the muffin and indulged into it, feeling the sweet and sourness of the blueberries. I ate the whole muffin in one go and left the money on the table, grabbing my coffee and a cupcake in a small paper bag. I exited the cafe and bumped into the same male teenager. I screamed and jumped back. "Please, just leave me alone!" I squeaked, lowering down
"I'm not going to hurt you..." He said softly, stepping forward. I shuffled back. "Of course, you're going to hurt me! Y-You have a weapon!" I shouted. I eyed him more carefully. He had strange attire... "Can I just introduce myself?" He asked, "Let's get to know each other!". I stared at him cautiously before nodding. "F-Fine... My name's (Y/n) (L/n) and I live in this town." I started
"Heh. Nice name!" I glared at him, "My name's Claude von Riegan. The grandson of the grandson of the grandson of the grandson of  Duke Riegan!" He shouted happily
"Duke Riegan?" I questioned, straightening up
"Yup! C'mon, let's go for a walk." He smiled. My lips tugged up a bit. He seems nice. We talked about what this "Duke Riegan" person was and how he was royalty in where he lived. "R-Royalty?!" I shouted as I sat down in front of him at a bench in a park. Claude nodded. "But that's only where I live. Don't go bowi-" I bowed before he could speak. "Well... I guess I spoke too late." He chuckled. I laughed a long with him, I cold breeze coming from the east ruffled my (c/h). I stuffed my hands in my pockets and felt something warm. The cupcake! I fished out the vanilla cupcake and stared at it. It was still hot. Claude stared at the white paper bag. "Can I have it?" He asked. I looked up at him and giggled at a drool coming out from his mouth. "Sure!" I smiled. I took the cupcake and laid it on the bag. He pinched a bit off and licked his fingers. He hummed in delight. "Now tell me a bit more about you. I heard those three boys say you can't be legally happy... Why?" He asked
"B-Because... I-I... Uhhhh... No one likes me... So I can't be happy?" I said in a questioning tone. Claude's eyes drooped down and he sighed. "You're hated to, eh?" He sighed and I nodded
"I was hated when I was young... But now I have a few friends... I'm terrified of being hated." He murmured before looking up at me, giving me a look. I chuckled. "I don't hate you." I smiled as he sighed in relief, "It's kind of nice for someone to like me in some way... No one really liked me when I was born. I was left out in the streets and was taken by an orphanage. Yet they were mean and kicked me out after someone was killed. They said it was my fault." I whispered, looking down and blushing. I felt a soft touch against my cheek. "I will never hate you. I will always be there for you." He said firmly. I grinned. "And I will always like you." I replied. A moment of comfortable silence interrupted our conversation, signalling that it was time for it to end. Claude then broke the silence. "Could you close your eyes for a second?" He asked. I tilted my head in confusion and obliged. Oh no... He's going to murder me... I movement and rustling for a few moments and then I felt a warm breath against my skin. "Claude, what's-" I felt pressure apply on to my lips and then I blushed furiously. My eyes fluttered open and then closed again, feeling Claude pull me up against him. Claude then separated from my lips and stared into my eyes. "I um... I love you..." He mumbled. I looked at him in surprised. Why did it just surprise me all of a sudden? He just kissed me! "I... Oh." I mumbled, looking down
"I couldn't help it... You look... Amazing and you should be accepted more." He murmured. I giggled. He eyed me and then gave me another kiss.
