M!Robin x Reader | Five Minutes More

Your P.o.V
It was hard to fight. So it was hard to get partnered up with someone. Both Chrom and Robin worried about you even though you didn't want to be worried about. You were worried for everyone. But especially Chrom and Robin. Chrom was your all time best friend and now Robin has taken him away from you. So now, you let Chrom and Robin be and try to protect both Chrom and Robin. As I slashed my sword against a faceless one, idle thoughts kept flowing in my mind. Thoughts about torture, thoughts about cruelty, thoughts about death. I didn't like it but you tried your hardest. I was silent to everyone when I first came in but worried. I didn't want anyone to know about my past. Past about death. My mother murdered right in front of me by my father, who fled from the battlefield while my close friends were protecting me. I wanted to protect them.

"(Y/n). You're still a princess to us. And now you're queen. Be safe." 

Was all my parents said to me. 'Be safe'. No 'I love you's. None of that except 'Be safe'.  No one knew that I was a princess from a distant kingdom except Chrom. I slashed the faceless down as everyone surrounding me did the same. A feminine scream was heard. I snapped my attention towards the scream. Six or seven faceless were surrounding Lissa as she cowered lower. I gasped as Chrom shouted Lissa's name. Robin followed behind, taking hits Chrom couldn't take from archers. Both Robin and Chrom were wounded and a hit as great as two swords hitting them could cause major and serious damage. "No!" I screamed. I rushed towards the two men, taking a hit from a faceless. Surprisingly, the faceless was pretty strong and sent my flying to the edge of a forest. I grunted as I used my leg to stop me from moving to  far. My head snapped forwards. Seeing Robin and Chrom protecting each other sent a pain of jealousy. But I had to protect them. I took sacrifices for Robin and the two royal siblings. Chrom, Lissa and Robin can't take hits. They're too weak. I gasped in air as I looked at the three of them. Lissa healing Robin and Chrom. I smiled as I felt pain in my stomach. My breathing quickened as I caught up with the rest of the Shepherds. They were all safe. My face became reassured. We headed to our camp we made a few days ago. Me finally getting the rest I needed. I laid down on to the soft bed, resting my throbbing head. A tear slid down my face. "Why? Just why?" I whispered as I turned o face the ceiling. I spread my arms out. "Why couldn't you help me, mother? Father? Why? I thought you wanted me to be safe." I whispered to no body in particular. As tears fell down my face, my wound became more painful. I hissed. I closed my eyes. "(Y/n). Why were you protecting them?" Mother said as I opened my eyes to see a beautiful field of flowers and bother my mother and father. "You didn't need to protect them so why did you? We told you to be safe." Father added
"I thought you were going to make me safe." I replied, tilting my head
"You didn't answer my question!" Mother hissed, her beautiful face becoming an evil demon. I flinched, thinking that was just my mind playing tricks. "I-I... It's my priority to protect them at all cost." I said
"You're not taking care of yourself!!!" Father screamed as his face became scary like Mother's. They were closing up on me as the blue sky became dark and gloomy. I screamed as tears fell down my face. 

I suddenly woke up. "(Y/n)? Are you in there? Chrom and I want to talk to you.". I heard Robin say. "What is it?" I hissed. Robin sighed and came in. "I didn't say for you to come in." I spat, narrowing my eyes. "Look. I... Um... Just come with me." Robin said. He left the tent, leaving me alone. I sighed and obliged. I met with Robin and followed him into a tent. Chrom was inside. "Hello, (Y/n)." Chrom greeted
"Hello." I replied, bowing. I stood straight up again. "What did you need me for?" I asked. Robin and Chrom looked at each other as silence filled the room. Finally, Chrom spoke up. "(Y/n)... You know how you don't have a partner?" Chrom said. I nodded. "Well, Robin was thinking... And it's amazing... Maybe you should partner up with him. You're always taking hits for him and... Maybe you should partner up with him?" Chrom said as he shrugged and looked at Robin for help. My eyes widened. "No way, am I partnering up with him. You and Robin need each other!" I shouted. Chrom sighed in defeat. "(Y/n). I think it's because you care for Chrom and I. I know that Chrom and you were best of friends when you met up as a kid. Chrom knew your difficulties so we were thinking-"
"You told Robin?!" I shouted, interrupting Robin from his sentence
"You told Robin. You told him. I told you to not to tell anyone and you tell him!!! Wow. What an amazing friend!" I shouted as I crossed my arms and frowned. "(Y/n), I... I thought you could trust Robin and-"
"And what?! I don't trust Robin at all!" I shouted as tears fell from my face
"You don't know how much pain I feel. After attacking the dead, THE DEAD! One of them could be my parents..." I trailed off as tears waterfall-ed down my cheeks. I looked down. I just shouted at a soon to be king man and his best friend. "I-I'm sorry!!!" I cried as I ran out of the tent. As the tears blurred my vision, I couldn't tell where I was going. I knew all of my comrades were staring at me. I even saw a blurry Lissa running after me. "(Y/n)!" Chrom and Robin shouted. I ran into the forest, stumbling on roots and trying to avoid spikes from the bushes. I suddenly tripped and tumbled down on to a tree, near a rushing river, soaking my clothes. "Mother..." I whispered. I heard a set of footsteps running towards me and out came a crying Robin, who had cuts all over his face. "(Y/n)?" He whispered as he bent down. "(Y/n), you're hurt." Robin added. He pulled me into his chest. I didn't shake it off but a melted into the hug. It was so comforting. I clutched on to his arms as he caressed my head. "Robin... Do you know? Do you know my back story?" I mumbled
"I do. You were a princess who fled from her kingdom." Robin replied soothingly and quietly
"There's more. There's more to the story. And... And I want you to know." I said, muffled up because I was talking into his shirt. I moment of silence happened, me knowing that it was Robin letting me talk more. "My mother was murdered by the love of her life. I-I tried p-protecting her... Robin, I tried protecting her. I-I need t-to p-protect C-Chrom." I stammered
"A-And... A-A-And y-you..." I added as more tears soaked into Robin's shirt
"My friends died too and... A-And that's w-when Chrom. H-He saved me a-a-and... I n-need t-to r-repay e-everything h-h-he's done." I whispered hoarsely. Robin became silent. His grip tightened as he dug his face into my hair. I felt his tears soak into each strand of (c/h) hair. 

As night fell, the stars and the moon twinkled above us, making us glow in the night. "Robin?" I whispered, my head still in his chest. He hummed in response. "Do you think we should head back to camp? It's getting late." I said, lifting my head up. A flash of comfortableness flashed in Robin's eyes. "Can I just... Stay with me. Five minutes more." Robin whispered as he pulled me into another embraced. I gladly accepted he hug. I felt my eyelids become heavy as I went into a deep sleep. Robin stared to caress my cheek as I slept on the gravely ground.

3rd P.o.V
Lissa, Chrom and Frederick all woke up when the sun was barely out and shining. Lissa all happy and awake while Chrom and Frederick staggered their way to find (Y/n) and Robin, who didn't come back after Robin's chase for (Y/n). "(Y/n)?! Robin?!" Frederick called as he cupped his hands together to his mouth 
"Quiet, Frederick! You'll wake all the shepherds up!" Lissa whisper-shouted as they all entered the forest. Lissa skipped over rocks and roots before she tripped over something, or rather someone. When Lissa stood up, she started to flail her arms, as she tried to contain herself from squealing loudly. She clapped her hand over her mouth and pointed to Robin and (Y/n), both in a deep sleep, embracing one another. Chrom and Frederick went to see what was going on, both of them with wide eyes stared at the sleeping couple. 

I don't know but you can also add this in the story. You don't have to. 3rd P.o.V
Chrom's eyes became sombre as he stared at Robin's and (Y/n)'s sleeping figure. He cared for (Y/n) when he first met him. He loved her.
