8) "An Angel I want to protect"

Natalie POV

"Hello? Wake up!" I heard someone said to me and I slowly opened my eyes "Class is starting! Hurry so you won't be late" I heard the librarian and I quickly ran to math class.

I made it on time and I was out of breath.

I should probably work out more often

I went to my seat and lean back but I almost fell but Lauren quickly caught my desk. "Be careful" she whispered and I nodded

Why do I keep forgetting that this desk is broken?

I payed attention in class and I got bored since I already know this subject. I just rest my head on my arm and look down on my text book pretending I'm doing something

Lauren POV

I was in math class and I heard Natalie snoring a little. I guess she's sleeping right now.

I smiled to myself

I saw her about to lean back so I quickly put my hand on her head so she wouldn't fall. For some reason, she's still sleeping. Her head was still on my hand though and she's still sleeping.

Throughout the whole class her head was on my hand sleeping like my hand was a pillow.

The bell ranged and I heard her whimper and she woke up. She lean forward and I removed my hand away. She stood up and left. I went to my next class. As I was walking, I saw Brad tripped Natalie and she fell. I ran over there to help Natalie but Brad pulled me back

"Hey babe, Let's go to class" Brad said as he dragged me away. I look back and saw Nina helping Natalie.

School finished by quickly and I couldn't wait to go home. I got inside my car and I saw Natalie riding her bicycle. I stare at her until she was fully gone.

"History is so boring" My best friend Dinah groan and I chuckled. We were studying for a test coming up in two days. We are studying in my living room while eating some snacks.

"Lauren, I just noticed something" I heard Dinah said "What is it?" I said and she looked like she was thinking "During lunch, where were you?" She said and I chuckled "Um restroom" I said and she looked at me suspiciously "Were you really? That means you were there for the whole lunch break" she said and I sigh

"Fine, I wasn't." I looked down "Then, where were you?" She asked me and I looked at her

"I was reading" I smiled to myself

During lunch I didn't see Natalie in her usual spot. Where is she? Is she okay? I was starting to get worried so I stood up from my lunch table. "Where you going baby?" Brad squeeze my ass and I smack his hand away

Disgusting

"Restroom" I said then quickly left

But I wasn't going to the restroom, I was looking for Natalie. I look around the school and still didn't find her. I saw the library and noticed I didn't check there yet. I ran over to the library and search around for Natalie when my eye caught a familiar hair color.

I chuckled to myself and walked over to her. I guess she fell asleep while reading.....while eating gummy bears.

I was standing next to her and just stared at her. I noticed the sunlight was hitting her face making her scrunched up her face. I raised my hand and block the sunlight that was hitting her face for her. I sat next to her and I blocked the sunlight with my body. I grabbed one of the books I bought and began reading it while I look out for her, protecting her if someone starts bullying her.

I read the book and kept an eye on Natalie.
