9) "Teach me how to flirt"

Lauren POV

I was walking to my locker when I saw Natalie walking towards me. I smiled and walked up to her but then Brad got in front of me blocking my view from Natalie. I saw her walking pass me and I groan slightly

"So babe there's this party this Friday at my house. Wanna go?" He winked and I nodded

"Sure, why not?" I smiled and he kissed my lips and walked away. My first real high school party is this week and I'm already excited. I walked back to my locker and grabbed my books out. I saw Natalie on the floor reading a book in the corner away from the kids. I went up to her and I sat down next to her. She was reading the book I bought for her. I don't think she realizes I'm here

"I'm starting to regret buying that book for you. You're not giving me any attention" I said and she closes her book "Now I am" she smiled and I chuckled "How many book you've read so far?" I asked her and she took a second before responding "I've finished 2 books now" she smiled and I nodded

"Hey, Natalie I was wondering if you want to do that biology thing today?" Demi said and I rolled my eyes "Sure" Natalie smiled "Great, see you later beautiful" Demi winked and I scoffed

"What?" Natalie looked at me "She was totally flirting with you!" I said and she looked at me weirdly

"What's flirting?" She looked at me confused

"I- Wait you don't know what flirting is?" I asked her and she looked at me nodding

"Um-"

"Can you teach me?!" She said and took out her notebook and a calculator "It's not a math subject" I said "Oh, then what is it?" She asked "It's a human to human thing" I said and then she pulled out her science notebook out "It's not anything school related" I chuckled and she pouted "Oh, I was in the mood to learn something new" she pouted

"Anyways we need to get to class. I'll see you later in biology!" She ran away and I stood up and walked to class

I was in math class now being bored as usual when I saw Natalie sleeping again. She's been sleeping a lot these days now.

It was now gym class and I got out of the locker room and I saw Natalie drinking water and threw the bottle away. I went up to Natalie and walked next to her. "Alright class! Today is fitness testing. Each and every single one of you will run a mile! Which is 4 laps around the track. Now get out and run!" Our coach said and everyone got outside to the track field and start running. This is gonna be easy.

I started to run and I run pretty fast. I now have one more lap to go. I look around and saw Natalie running. She looks very tired and out of breath. I finished quickly and grabbed a water bottle. I went back on the field and gave the water to Natalie. "No thanks" she coughed "Drink it" I said sternly and she did "how many more laps you need to do?" I said "3" she resorted "You only did one lap? You can do better than that! Run faster!" I said and she ran faster

I smirked to myself

I think I gave her some motivation

Gym finally ended and I went to the locker room to clean myself up. I went inside and I saw Natalie grabbed something out of her bag and drank water with it. What did she drank?

"Oh hey Lauren" Natalie said and I just smiled at her. Her hair was wet from taking a shower. She looks even more beautiful- Wait stop it

"Anyways, I got to go now" She walked away and I nodded "Bye Natalie see you tomorrow" I smiled at her and she smiled at me back

It was around midnight now and I was going for a midnight walk around the block. I saw the cafe that Natalie worked it still had their lights on. I walked over there and saw Natalie over the window

She was cleaning the cafe by herself

She looks tired

I watched her cleaning until she fell down. I walked over to open the door but I realized if I do, she will notice me. I stayed outside and watch her through the window. She stood back up and sat down on a chair. She took of her shoe and pull down her socks. Her ankle was red swollen. She looks sick and tired

Maybe this is why she keeps sleeping in class. She's not getting enough sleep because of her job.

Maybe this way she was slow running a mile today at gym. Her ankle was hurting her.
