19) "I thought I could trust you"

Natalie POV

I yawned as I walked the school hallways. I got home around midnight and then I stayed up to the my homework. I rubbed my eyes and went to class. I was in my math class and put my head down to sleep but this stupid chair is still not fixed.

I closed my eyes and let the sleep take me

I woke up by the bell ringing and I stood up but Lauren stopped me from walking.

"Can we talk?" She said and I hesitated "I-I kinda have somewhere to go right now" I said and she nodded "Can we talk later? I'll call you tonight?" She said and I nodded "Okay" I said and walked away

I went to my next class which was upstairs

I walked down the hallway. Suddenly, I was being dragged back downstairs and went outside the school. Something tripped me and I fell onto the floor. My books flew everywhere and my face hit the floor. I felt something wet on my back. I turned around and saw Bianca and Brad holding water balloons.

"Just saying, this was Lauren's idea" Bianca winked at me and continued to throw water balloons at me. They stopped and once I look up I saw Lauren looking at me with other people surrounding me. I got up and ran away

I stopped running and I was at this park. I sat on the swing and cried.

Lauren doesn't care about me anymore

I decided to leave a voicemail to Lauren.

"Lauren? You know you really brought me down. I thought I could trust you, but I guess I was wrong. I was starting to have feelings for you, but everything changes. Now, you're just a stranger that has all my secrets. Bye Lauren" I sniff and ended the voicemail

Lauren POV

I wanted to talk to Natalie but she said she wanted to talk later. I sigh and hit a table from frustration.

God I miss her.....

I grabbed my backpack and walked outside but I saw a bunch students surrounding something outside. I took a closer look and I saw Natalie. Brad and Bianca was throwing water balloons at her so I ran to her. As I arrived, she saw me and she ran away.

I go after her but Brad and Bianca pulled me back. "She's useless, remember the deal?" Brad smirked. I yanked their hands out of my arm and look at them angrily

"Deals off, you told me you will leave her alone!" I said and slapped Brad and he fell onto the floor

i just slapped him....

I ran away to look for Natalie but I couldn't find her.

I groan and I got a notification from my phone

I pulled out my phone and saw a gotten a voicemail from Natalie. My heart beats faster and I became nervous. I put the phone closer to my ear and listen

"Lauren? You know you really brought me down. I thought I could trust you, but I guess I was wrong. I was starting to have feelings for you, but everything changes. Now, you're just a stranger that has all my secrets. Bye Lauren"

She ended the call and I could hear that she was crying. I clenched my fist and I felt a tear running down my cheek. I walk to class and I saw Brad and Bianca

I pulled both of them in an empty hallway

"I'm done Brad! I'm not doing this deal anymore. You told me you will leave Natalie alone if I will stop talking to her! And I know you're going to do something to Natalie but you got to go through me. From now on, I'm going to be next to Natalie side and you can't do nothing about it." I said to Brad

"And you, I know we went to middle school together with Natalie, but you got to stop bullying her. It's getting ignorant and disgusting." I said

As I was walking away, I turned around to look at them

"Oh and by the way, Natalie is cute and she's mine" I smiled and walked away to look for Natalie

Natalie POV

Did Lauren actually meant that?

I was walking back to class but then I saw her talking to Brad and Bianca.

So she didn't really ignored me, it was just Brad.

And she called me cute?!

"Natalie!" I heard a voice behind me

I turned around and saw Lauren walking towards me. I was about to say something but she hugged me.

"I'm sorry. I'm really sorry" I heard her while she hugged me tighter "Lauren" I whispered "I'm such a terrible person, please forgive me" she whispered "it wasn't your fault" I said and she pulled away to look at me "I overheard your conversation with Brad and Bianca" I said and she looked down in embarrassment

"Are we cool again?" She said "Yes Lolo" I smiled

She smiled brightly and lifted me up and spin me around. We laughed and she finally put me down. "Let's go to class, even though there's no point if we just skipped the whole class" she said and I giggled "Nope, we're going" I said and began to walk

"So...you think I'm cute?" I smirked and she blushed

"I think you're more than cute"
