23) "I need to go"

Natalie POV

Today is the football game and to be honest I'm not really feeling it but Nina and Demi is making me go "No, I have tons of homework" I groan as I push my glasses up "but it's the first football game! It's going to be special!" Nina said

They're currently in my house since my parents are gone

"Football games are never special. It's just a lame game and our team keeps loosing" I shrugged

"But Lauren is performing tonight" Nina sing and sat on the bed with me

Lauren's performing tonight?

"How do you know?" I asked looking at Demi and Nina "She post it on her private Instagram" Nina showed me the post

I sigh

"Fine, I'll go" I stood up from my bed

"You should get Instagram so you can see what's going on in this world" Nina said "Social media is a waste of time and it's useless" I said

"Wait are you going because of Lau-"

"No!" I immediately shut Nina up "I'm only going so you guys can shut up" I went to my closet and grabbed a simple outfit. It was night time so it was kinda windy outside but also kinda hot at the same time

"Awww you look so hot and cute at the same time" Demi walked towards me and I smiled "Why thank you" I jokingly bowed down and laughed. All of the sudden she look into my eyes and I look into hers

"Woahhhh am I interrupting something?" Nina walked in and we immediately separated

"No" We both said at the same time

"Alrighty, let's go! And I'm not driving, Demi is" Nina walked away and I look at Demi chuckling

Demi drove us to our high school and we arrived at the football field. We sat on the lowest seat because I'm afraid of height to go all the way up.

The game began and I didn't know what's happening right now. I don't even understand football. Then the game stopped and the players went somewhere to take a break

"All right ladies and gentlemen! Please welcome Lauren Jauregui!" An announcer said and immediately everyone yelled and clapped. Smoke came out, fireworks popped up, music began to play, and then Lauren came.

She began singing and I swear all the people here are so loud

There's a lot of people here I might be claustrophobic

I cheer for Lauren and then she walked up to my side and since I was at the lowest seat that is closer to the field, she made eye contact to me. She smiled at me and I smiled back

She walked back at the middle of the field and she ended her song

"Thank you everybody!" She yelled and then the music stoped

Everyone applause for her and I smiled at her hard work

"Now give up for Brad! He's the football captain this year!" An announcer said and Brad came up running on the field and stood next to Lauren

"Uh I just want to say thank you everyone and thank you for the amazing song Lauren" Brad touched Lauren's shoulder and I kinda became uneasy

"Kiss!!" Someone shouted

"Kiss, Kiss, KISS!" Everyone in the whole stadium shouted. I suddenly become anxious and the Brad just kissed Lauren. Everyone screamed and I was getting a headache. "I'll be at the car" I said to Nina and Demi

I walked to the parking lot where there was no one and it was quiet. I saw a bench and took a seat. I look up at the sky and saw stars and began to tear up

Maybe Lauren doesn't like me the way I like her

"There you are!"

I heard Lauren voice behind me and I immediately freak out and start running away but Lauren caught my arm before I go anywhere further "Why did you leave?" She said "Nothing" I fake smiled "Were you crying?" She look at me and touched my face "No, it's just um....allergies" I fake laughed but Lauren just stare at me

"Oh my gosh Lauren!!" Some fan girls walk towards us and I bit my lip

"I need to go" I whispered to Lauren and pull her grip out of my arm

"Natalie" I heard her whispered
