Ringing...

Ringing...

Ringing...

"north," he breathes.

"el, how are you this fine night?"

"north what happened to you in the party?"

"wha—nothing. why do people keep assuming something did?"

"i'm not messing around, what happened?"

"nothing! nothing fucking happened. it's none of your business anyways." however she was sobbing into the phone.

his voice caught at the sound of it. "north—north it's okay."

she doesn't respond anymore, she just continued crying.

"i'm sorry i didn't do anything more than i could've."

"y-you did. you told me not to go. b-but i didn't listen. i'm such an idiot. i'm such a fucking idiot."

"you're not an idiot. you're wonderful and beautiful."

"he certainly thought that last night." she blurted.

he stopped dead. "north... who's he?"

"he's no one. forget it."

"tell me who he is, i'll fucking kill him."

"forget it, el. please forget it. god knows i'm trying to."

"you deserve none of this, north."

"the world apparently thinks i do."

"you don't. god, you don't."
