Y/N was a girl that loved to go surfing and swimming ever since she was a child. One day, she went surfing and met an actual Merformer stuck in a net with wounds. Once she freed him and helped him, she started to meet the cute Merformer all the time...
After the yellow Merformer arrived at the bridge, he stopped swimming next to the bridge. Y/N got out of his back and stepped on the wood. Just as she was about to enter the hut where the first aid kit was, the creature literally threw Y/N's surfboard and it landed next to her.
Y/N stopped in her tracks shocked. The mermaid creature was strong too! She then faced the male and couldn't help but laugh. "You're funny too!"
The male showed a funny expression and chirped cutely. He then watched how Y/N disappeared inside the hut and came back with first aid-kit.
"Hey, can you sit on the bridge?"
The male shook his head no. He can't do that.
Y/N tapped her chin since she was thinking. Then she had an idea. "Lay on your back. Make sure that I can take care of your cuts."
The mermaid nodded and did as told. He was laying right next to the bridge so it was easy. Y/N laid down on her stomach on the wood and started to treat his wounds. Bandages will not work since the creature lived underwater. He hissed a bit pain since the medicine was doing the work.
Once it was done, Y/N stood up. "There. It's done."
The creature chirped a thank you at her.
"No problem." Y/N smiled. She then noticed that it was getting late. She looked at the male mermaid with a soft look. "I have to go home. It's getting late."
The male started to chirp sadly. He couldn't help but feel fond of his rescuer. She saved his life and he wanted to befriend her.
Y/N let out a warm smile. "Don't worry. I will come tomorrow to surf."
Then the cute creature showed his adorable smile and chirped too in happiness. Y/N laughed a bit and waved goodbye. "See ya tomorrow."
The creature waved goodbye back and that's when he went underwater to be back with his pack of other Merformers. One of them was the leader so he was large.
Y/N smiled and picked her surfboard up and that's when she went home. She couldn't wait for tommorow.
The next day~
Y/N was already at the beach and was surfing. She was waiting for that mermaid creature too she helped. Once again, she was alone. She paid close attention to surfing until a shadow figure behind her was swimming. The figure was big then Y/N. The girl noticed the shadowy figure behind and smiled once recognized it. It was the same mermaid creature she rescued!
"Hello!" She said with a smile.
The mermaid creature chirped happily as a hello.
Y/N then pressed her hand gently against the wave behind her. The male mermaid pressed his big hand with claws against her. They were almost holding hands! They both smiled but then Y/N looked front again and gasped once the wave hit her and fell in the water. She wasn't drowning, but the male mermaid was being a gentleman and held her. He then swam towards the rocks and gently set her down along with her surfboard.
Y/N laughed with a smile. "Aw, thank you. But I wasn't drowning."
The creature chirped cutely.
"It's alright. Hey, do you have a name?"
The male mermaid shook his head no. He did have a name, but more of a code name. His leader and teammate had names but he didn't.
Y/N then thought for a second. "I know one! You're so adorable and you have antennas like a bee! How does Bumblebee sounds? Bee for short."
The creature chirped in happiness because he loved the name. It suited him perfectly.
Y/N giggled and kissed his cheek gently. "You're so cute!"
Bumblebee couldn't help but blush and squeal. He was in love with his rescuer that he wanted to protect her. He covered his mouth and his blue eyes twinkled. Y/N continued to giggle.
