"You are the next great chief of our people." Tui told his son.

"And you'll do wonderous things, my little minnow." Sina, Mohan's mother said lifting him up in the air and kissing his cheek.

"Yes but first, you must learn where you're meant to be."

TUI:
Mohan
Make way, make way
Mohan it's time you knew
The village of Montuni is all you need
The dancers are practicing
They dance to an ancient song

DANCERS:
Who needs a new song
This old one's all we need

TUI:
This tradition is our mission
And Mohan there's so much to do

VILLAGERS:
(Make way!)
Don't trip on the taro root
That's all you need

TUI:
We share everything we make
(We make!)
We joke and we weave our baskets
Our fishermen come back from the sea

MOHAN:
I wanna see

TUI:
Don't walk away
Mohan stay on the ground now
Our people will need a chief and
There you are
There comes a day
When you're gonna look around

TUI & SINA:
And realise happiness is
Where you are

TUI:
Consider the coconuts
(The what?)
Consider it's tree
We use each part of the coconut
That's all we need

SINA:
We weave our nets from the fibres
(We weave our nets from the fibres)
The water is sweet inside
(The water is sweet inside)
We use the leaves to build fire
(We use the leaves to build fire)
We cook up our meat inside
(We cook up our meat inside)

TUI:
Consider the coconut
Consider it's tree
The island gives us what we need

MOHAN:
And no one leaves?

TUI:
That's right we stay
We're safe and we're well provided
And we look to the future
There you are
You'll be okay
In time you'll learn just as I did

TUI & SINA:
You must find happiness right where you are

Mohan ran away from the village to the seashore where his grandmother and best friend we're dancing at the river bank.

"Come join us Mohan." [Y/n] said waving him over. He smiles and ran to where they were. [Y/n] bumped him with her hip and he bumped her back, both of them giggling as Tala smiled at them knowingly.

TALA:
I like to dance with the water
The undertow and the wave
The water is mischievous
Ha!
I like how it misbehaves
The village may think I'm crazy
Or say that I drift too far
But one you know what you like well
There you are

A few years later and it was just Mohan and Tala dancing at the riverside. [Y/n] never came anymore because she had responsibilities to do especially as she was a grown woman now.

TALA:
You are your father's son
Stubbornness and pride
Mind what he says but remember
You might hear a voice inside
And when that voice starts to whisper
To follow the furthest star
Mohan that voice inside is who you are

Tala took Mohan over near the seashore where the boats docked and he gazed at them longingly. He was about to go near when someone blocked his path. The person cleared their throat, arms crossed.
