It has been quite a few years and y/n was now nearing her 11th birthday. As many wizarding families know, she was ought to receive her Hogwarts letter at this time, and so was Ron Weasley.

The Weasleys and Lupin have raised y/n really well. She already knew the basics of the wizarding world and the history of her father. Somehow, she still didn't think that Sirius was guilty and knew by heart that there was still part of the story missing. But she kept this to herself.

When with the Weasleys, they would play quidditch together in the open area around the Burrow. She would help Fred and George out with some of their pranks and they taught her some tricks of their own too. She and Ron were also very close and talked to each other about everything. Since she was living there and sharing a room with Ron, she also helped out with the chores. The Burrow was indeed very cozy but would get messy ever so often. She and Mr. Weasley would go to his garage to discover muggle objects and study them. She knew quite some muggle things herself.
