Why are the chapters so short?

I wrote this story with Tapas in mind, and they prefer shorter chapters over there. In fact, the tapas version is three chapters ahead of this one. As of today I have 24 chapter sitting in the drafts and an planned schedule of 2x per week.

Do I need to read Necromancy In D Minor to understand this story?

No. I wrote this to be a standalone. There will be characters from Necromancy in here, and also some from Claude's story. This is a prequel and takes place around 6-8 years before Necromancy.
