Snap!

The girl looked down only to see a branch snap under her leg as she ran, her breathing heavy. Pain shot through her ankle as she continued running, but didnt dare to stop now. The others were a good 6 feet infront of her, running for their lives too.

Tears formed in the corner of her eyes as she thought of the worst. Would they leave her behind? Is she not that important for one of them to turn arou-

Her train of thoughts were interrupted by her sister, who asked for the time. Snapping back into focus, she slightly limped as she ran, pushing her limits.

"8 minutes!" Logan yelled back as he checked the time, everyone now closer to each other, while she continued to lag behind. Having biten her lip too hard, she could feel a small metallic taste on her lower lip, making the girl sigh out in frustration. The pain in her ankle didnt make the situation much better, but she had to put up with it till they reached somewhere safe.

On the other side, Ashlyn ran infront of the group, her long braids flying in the wind as she did. Eyes wide, high on alert as she tried to find a safe place for them. 'Just a bit longer-' was what was running throught her head.

Tat- Tat- Tat-

'Its close!' She could hear the terrorizing sounds and footsteps of the monster behind them. A phantom. Big, ugly black things, with mouths and teeths so big it could bite your head of. But she tried shaking the thought off, as her eyes finally catched sight of an open space ahead of them, big walls surroinding it. 'The graveyard!'

The red head could finally feel herself relax, but not entirely. Her head turned back to check on the group, trying to see if everyone is okay. 'Aiden is there- So are the twins, logan and ben..' her eyes opened wide once again. One was missing. "Rylee?!"

The sudden yelling made the group snap their heads up, before they all turned around to check on the brown haired girl, only to see her running for her life, trying to get away from the claws of the phantom, who was getting closer and closer to her, and to them.

All of them were stuck in shock as they kept staring at the limping girl, who had tears in her eyes as she ran. She didnt know how long she could run with the pain in her ankle. But if she stopped now, would they come help her? Would they just leave her? Would they think she was weak?

"Run Rylee! Cmon we are almost at the graveyard!" Her older sister, by one year as she always says when they are bickering, yelled for the girl. She couldnt keep looking at her sister trying to run from literal death, as the group just stood there. Gritting her teeth, she looked at Aiden. "Run to the graveyard, and open the gates, we'll be there." The blonde just looked at her, not knowing what she was about to do, but nodded either way, that stupid grin never leaving his face. And with that, this time the red headed sister ran into the danger, not from it.

Running back towards her sister, she could clearly see her flushed, tear soaked cheeks as she got closer and closer to Ashlyn. The monster was still a few feet behind, which gave her time to wrap Rylees arm around her shoulder, helping her take of weight from her bad ankle. Finally, this way the girl could finally let out a deep, shaky breath which she didnt even know she was holding. With the help of her sister, they soon catched up to the group inside the graveyard.

"Close the gate, close the gate!" She could hear Tyler yell in the background, as she and her sister fell to the ground once they made it throught the gate. The monster couldnt get in now, as it just stood there as the wall closed. Those pair of big, lifeless white eyes burried themselves into her mind forever, as it stared right at her from the small opening of the gate, before it closed.

SLAM!

The two girls sat on the ground next to eachother, trying to catch their breath. She didnt want to look like a crybaby, but holy shit she wanted to cry so bad at the moment. She tried holding the tears back, which seemed to work for a bit..

She looked down at the ground infront of her, before turning her head to the side, where her sister sat, meeting her green eyes. Ashlyn didnt say anything, just stared back at her younger sister. But her breath hitched in her troath when the girl threw her arms around her, her face burried into her neck. 'Her hands are shaking..' She stayed still, before slowly putting her arms around her younger sister too, looking up at the group. "Thank you" The red head heard the small whisper coming from the girl, but didnt say anything. She just nodded, before the two of them unwrapped their arms from around eachother.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The group tried to pay no mind to the loud banging from outside. They were safe now, werent they? They didnt need to worry about the banging. The brown haired girl stood up from the ground, dusting herself off, before offering a hand to her sister, who gladly accepted. Pulling her up, now the two girls were standing right next to eachother. "Alright, lets head to the bus." Ashlyn spoke up with her tired, quiet voice, and they all agreed. They needed a little break after all this running.

Once inside the bus, everyone sat down in different spots. The twins together, next to them were Aiden and Ben. Infront of them sat Ashlyn alone, but behind them sat Logan. And on the opposite seat from him sat Rylee. Her knees were pulled up to her chest, and her head was resting on them.

"That sucked." Tyler spoke up. 'Wow, you dont say?' - was all the girl replied in her mind. She looked back up, her eyes now on her ankle. It was a mix of blue, yellow and green, and it defenitely looked like it was swollen. The girl frowned at the sight. She wasnt a nurse, thats for sure, but she knew she would need to get it fixed if she wanted to stay alive in this world. Stretching her good leg out, she kept the other up, trying to see if she could do anything with it.

"Ah. The banging stopped." She looked back up, at her sister, who was still hunched over her seat, seemingly still trying to catch her breath. "Maybe it gave up or- -someth.." But Tyler cut himself off as his eyes widened. Out of curiosity, the girl turned her head the way he was looking, and she swore her heart stopped right there. It was a phantom.

"HOW?!"
