XV - Bad Girl

time to time I wipe my lips

after your kiss

and look away; glances trailing

the life outside the window eye

when your hand held mine,

I caught the eyes of the other guys

and the men who cat called

when I walked by --

and their looks and their coarse tongues

licked and lapped at the window frame,

"you get me, Baby?"

and sometimes I just wanna play;

you see them wanting, (you) see them look over

"you know how sometimes it's good to know, Honey--"

and denials, withdrawals, aborted words, biting, snapping, laugh, scowl, kiss, lick:

would you catch me again, Darling,

if I were a bad girl --

would you forgive me my dishonesty, my Love,

if I was acting the bad girl?

if I was acting the bad girl?
