Chapter Eighteen

There are a lot of things that Lisa wants right now. She wants her phone back, she wants to know what the hell happened just four hours ago and she wants – no, needs – to talk to Jennie. And to be perfectly honest the third one would certainly help with figuring out the other two.

Lisa's brain is whirring, all she wants to do is talk to somebody, anybody, about what just happened but her options are severely limited. There's no way in hell she's telling her parents, Rosé would just laugh and Jennie, well Lisa's not entirely sure how Jennie would respond but based on her actions earlier Lisa is pretty sure that it wouldn't be good.

And so Lisa is restless and yet all she really wants to do is sleep, close her eyes and forget about everything for a little while. But all Lisa can think about Jennie, and that's not really setting her up for a goodnight's sleep.

Deciding there's no way she's going to be able to drift off to sleep right now, Lisa opens up her laptop and quickly sends a message to Rosé.

Lalisa Manoban: Wuu2?

Roseanne Park: What have I told you about using text speak Lis?

Lalisa Manoban: Fuck off

Roseanne Park: Someone's feisty tonight

Lalisa Manoban: I can't sleep :(

Roseanne Park: Why the hell are you trying to sleep, it's nine o'clock on the evening

Lalisa Manoban:  I've got a lot on my mind

Roseanne Park: Do you need me to come over?

Roseanne Park: Seriously Lis, I can be over there in like ten, twenty minutes, just hold on while I put some shoes on

Lalisa Manoban: You don't need to come over, just need to talk to someone

Roseanne Park: What about?

Lalisa Manoban: Anything other than what's on my mind

Roseanne Park: Did you hear about Sana?

Lalisa Manoban: This sounds like it could be the intro to some terrible joke

Roseanne Park: Every joke I tell is brilliant

Lalisa Manoban: So this is a joke then

Roseanne Park: No, although I bet Junhoe kind of wishes it was

Lalisa Manoban: Did they break up? Cause if so that's not that interesting

Roseanne Park: That's not the interesting part about it, the interesting part is why they broke up

Lalisa Manoban: And let me guess you're about to tell me

Roseanne Park: What else are best friends for?

Lalisa Manoban: Go on then

Roseanne Park: Sana cheated on Junhoe with Junhoe's brother

Lalisa Manoban: NO

Lalisa Manoban: EW

Roseanne Park: If I remember correctly you had a crush on her when you first arrived

Lalisa Manoban: I was young and stupid, what can I say
